Orange spice booze resins, creamy and sweet but spicy too
Ikiryo Orange Moonshine is a sweet, creamy, resinous, slightly boozy orange mix that smells almost like a spicy, boozy off shoot of an orange creamsicle, containing the sweetness and creaminess while introducing the idea of a cocktail. It’s mostly indulgent like a dessert-heavy gourmand but the booziness does involve a certain sort of restraint, with the resins bridging the gap between ice cream and cocktail. It’s also very strong in terms of performance, as are most Ikiryo releases, in my experience.
Overall, of the three Ikiryo perfumes I’ve sampled, In Perpetuum is my favorite, followed by Orange Moonshine and finally Chocognac. Orange Moonshine and other Ikiryo perfumes are sold at Perfumology and are all generally priced at $130 for 50ml, which is quite good value considering they each seem to be able to fill a room, performance-wise, very densely put together.
7 out of 10
