"All right. That's twelve and ninety-nine. Drive up to the traffic light and switch off the engine. Leave the slices down."

Something fell in the tea
Here we have again such a fragrance of the house, which shows up on me much too briefly present and then also very quickly enters the background. He has actually liked me quite well and I was already close to a spontaneous purchase. But not half an hour later, the fragrance is so so close to the body that I unfortunately shrink back.

A very present note of iris butter, which Imaginary Authors seems very fond of anyway, paired with very attractive tea leaves wafting tentatively through the wind, actually has a damn lovely character. Mossy notes round out the wind play. Later, the black tea takes over and nestles expertly around the signature iris butter. A very pleasant, mysterious smoky note joins in. But everything so faintly perceptible...
After five hours, I could have lived with it. After half an hour, no.

How to classify such a weak fragrance? What to think of him and when to use, if he is gone before you get somewhere?
And how is it that Imaginary Authors fragrances seem to perform so much less on me than on many others?

This evening, I'm replenishing because I like this scent so much after all. But with almost a milliliter now spread on me, I probably don't need to mention how disappointed I am. Granted, of course, is now the overall construct more intense, Nevertheless, after about an hour the air is out.

Might have had an old sample...
Strong, very Imaginary Authors-esque opening. Soon a woody note appears along with a leathery sweetness. The scent becomes more powdery after dry down and a lovely iris appears.

Unfortunately, I do not get any tea, but a hint of smokeyness instead. I think I have kept my sample for too long, because the fragrance is nothing like I remembered it, and a review I did almost a year ago sounds nothing like what I am experiencing now.
Though from my dear and favourite house of Imaginary Authors, this one isn't it for me. The smokeyness hints at Memoirs of A Trespasser, but that fragrance is just so much more than O, Unknown! and it fades among kings like Saint Julep and Telegrama.
O, Unknown! is a woody, iris fragrance that is pleasant for what it is. The fragrance leaves a sweet and charming scent close to the skin, but I am missing the classic Imaginary Authors projection and power.

What an odd duck!
Well, the drydown is definitely reminiscent of some of the other Imaginary Authors base notes. I've seen reviews saying lipstick, face powder, old paper, glue, playdough.... I can smell all of those which is typical for orris-centered fragrances. Dry smelling like warm wax and dust. Candles left in a wooden drawer. I mean, it's interesting but I don't see wanting to walk around smelling like paper dust.

Gentle Tea Skin Fragrance
When I first spray this, I get a light leather, slightly woody, tea scent. A little bit powdery and floral. It lasts about 3 hours on my skin and at the end I was only getting the tea scent. Originally, I thought it was boring but I keep going back to sniff my wrist and the smell keeps developing over time. This isn't something you want to wear when you are looking to turn heads but it would make a great skin scent.

Have you ever put powder on a baby's butt and put on a disposable diaper? O Unknown reminds me of that memory.

Distinct orris on a smoky woody base. Not sure if intentional but slightly sour, maybe it's the tea note? Intriguing but awful performance

A deeply sensual combination of musk and orris add a haunting, woozy presence that unfolds on skin.
