There is something surpy in it, perhaps it's the honey note. Yet this weird otherworldly freshness that cuts through it. This jasmin is like the plant from Little Shop of Horrors. It's feisty. Feels like if you don't provide for it - it'll bite your hand off.

Not sure what inspired the name but it's just like a feral fox that has been tamed just enough to brepet in exchange for treats. Love it! :)

Not Your Grandma's Floral

Oh my gosh. This scent is addictive. This smells like the literal embodiment of spring. The jasmine is there for the whole scent, strong but not cloying, staying light and fresh. While Jasmine is the dominant scent, the pink peppercorn and frankincense round out the background to a general floral smell. My only complaint is that the scent does not last long enough, only about 3 hours. There has been recent talk about "Bed Perfumes", scents you wear to bed. I think this would be a perfect scent for that, especially if you want to feel like you are falling asleep in a meadow full of newly bloomed flowers.

kinky lepidopteran weirdness (a philosophy)

Imaginary Authors Fox in the Flowerbed is all fluttering spring petals, light feathery wings on a playful breeze, and unsettlingly intimate musks. Even the honeyed jasmine, usually so heavy, heralding summer's muggy fug, feels like a gossamer dream on a cool, April evening. In a philosophical sense, it makes me think of that poet from antiquity musing on whether he is a butterfly dreaming he is a man, or a man dreaming he is a butterfly. In a more carnal sense, however, it is a perfume that conjures the beautifully tender, kinky lepidopteran weirdness of The Duke of Burgundy's bizarre love story. I know a fragrance inspired by the film already exists, but somehow Fox in the Flowerbed does a more proper and true job of it.
