Evening Edged in Gold
This fragrance opens with an accord in which spices such as saffron and fruits like plum mix beautifully on a base of leather . The top accord is warm, rich, velvety and vaguely reminds me of Daim Blond. What is different to Daim Blond is that underneath I smell a high-pitched sweet floral note which as the fragrance progresses is absorbed into accord. This fragrance is like Daim Blond with less suede and more golden flowers and therefore well-suited for those who are sensitive to birch tar and the like. The leather note however, is too weak to carry this impression for long, and after two hours the fragrance cannot but reveals its mostly vegetal nature. Smelled from far away it is still reminiscent of Daim Blond, but smelled up close it is different and rather flat.
