The Worst Smelling Fragrance from my Collection
Before I get started, I want to mention a few things:
1. I have 6 months of experience with the fragrance world by the time I'm writing this review
2. I don't have the best nose for picking individual notes and the ones that I'm not familiar with.
3. The bottle that I have it's pretty old and it didn’t aged well.
4. I will do a redux in the future with a new one, if I could find it anywhere, fresh out of the box.
The Context
This is another fragrance that I got alongside the other Instituto Espanol fragrances, Essential by Lacoste and another one that looks like a bootleg of JPG Le Male Le Parfum. I don’t remember smelling this one when I got it, but only when I got interested in perfumery. And when I tested it with the other ones that I had it blew my mind on how bad it aged. It smells as bad as I imagine every time I wear it.
The Scent (Accords and Notes)
What I’m getting, from the bottle that I have, are the bitter, spicy, green and woody accords. At the start it’s a bitter peppery bomb with good projection and intensity. As it dries down the green and woody notes are getting more present, but the core remains that bitter pepper and doesn't go off easily. So, I don’t have a good time wearing this any time of the day.
The Projection
For this one it’s an intermediate and that’s not a good thing because the scent it’s not in good condition. But I have to admit that the projection it’s not weak.
The Longevity
The longevity is also about 4 hours on skin. You could imagine that this will be a horrible decision to apply it on clothing.
The Bottle
The bottle it’s pretty average but the atomizer it’s surprisingly really good, just like the other fragrance that I’ve wrote about: Ivolution. I’m getting a good wide spay every time I use it and that actually it’s not really good. Again, because the fragrance it’s not in a good condition.
The Perfumer
For this one, again, I don’t have a perfumer listed. The molecules of galbanum and the “ metallic notes” probably were not expensive and so they aged like milk.
Conclusions
This is the worst smelling fragrance from my collection, and one that aged like milk. Most likely the molecules that made the majority of the scent profile were not long lasting and what I have is what remains after the maturation of these molecules.
Thank you so much for reading my review! I tried to wear this one for 2 days but I couldn’t find the scent profile to get better. But luckily I could buy a new one and experience it the right way. Next I will write about Poseidon Man, the fragrance that initially I thought was in a bad condition like Rojo but with time I’ve appreciated it more and more.
