The Actual First One
Before I get started, I want to mention a few things:
1. I have 6 months of experience with the fragrance world by the time I'm writing this review.
2. I don't have the best nose for picking individual notes and the ones that I'm not familiar with.
3. The bottle that I have it's pretty old. What I'm about to write is my experience with only this in my hands, so please take this review with a big grain of salt.
4. I will do a redux in the future with a new one, if I could find it anywhere online, fresh out of the box.
The Context
This is the fragrance that was given to me about 5 years ago by my older sister alongside another fragrance from this company, Essential by Lacoste and a JPG Le Male Le Parfum bootleg that has no tag, and I still don’t have a name for it. This was the very first fragrance that I tried to wear regularly at my college dorms, then one time I came back home, tried every one that I had in my room and after that I packed Essential with me. At one time I had a runny nose because I applied it on my chest and that didn’t go really well.
The Scent (Accords and Notes)
This is a synthetic citrus and sweet fragrance. In the opening I’m getting a bergamot and lemon with maybe orange and as it dries down I’m picking a vanilla mixed with cinnamon or a tonka bean, either way it feels like a sweet buttery and gourmand scent in the heart, and on the base just a bit of woods but nothing more. But from the start to the finish every note feels synthetic. I think this is an interesting fragrance but the synthetic parts push me away, but maybe when I get my hands on a new bottle the situation will change.
The Projection
For this one the opening it’s strong for about 15 minutes but as it dries down it becomes intimate.
The Longevity
It's about 2 hours from my experience, and this one doesn’t react that much with the heat.
The Bottle
The bottle it’s pretty average but the atomizer it’s surprisingly really good. I’m getting a good wide spray every time I use it and so it goes for the rest of the Institudo Espanol fragrances that I have in my storage.
The Perfumer
For this one I don’t have a perfumer listed. But whoever made this one had some experience, because it’s surprisingly not a fresh fragrance, and that it’s an accord that it's used too many times for a mass appeal. So, the perfumer who made this one I think tried something new.
Conclusions
This is an interesting fragrance that tries to be for the sports, from what I’m getting on the front of the bottle, that surprisingly it doesn’t have an aquatic or fresh scent profile. This fragrance for now I barely can find it online for sale and most likely it has a modern counterpart with another name. I will see in the near future. But for now I think this is a tolerable scent, again, from my old bottle that has about 5 years of age.
Thank you so much for reading my review. I tried to search for more information about the company but I haven’t got many results, so this review feels to me like I’m imitating Dankpods and this fragrance it’s like an unknown piece of junk that deserves the 1 grit. Next, I will write about Poseidon Rojo, the worst smelling fragrance that I have and the one that aged the worst in my room.
