Isabella came first
This is named and released 12 years before YSL’s Manifesto. These two scents have nothing in common, so there should not be any reason for a fight.
Isabella Rossellini has created a fresh/green perfume with an overwhelming beginning. A well balanced visit in a green garden with basil and orange. Soon the flowers take over the scene and this is here that I start to smell ‘bathtub’. The rose and especially the jasmine become too synthetic-sweet and I am brought back to my childhood.
I sit in the bathtub. I am four years old. As many times before, my granny has been across the border to buy cheap cigarettes, lots of candy for me and my brother- and shampoo. This time the shampoo container is shaped like a fish. Red, a huge eye on each side and fun to play with. The smell of the shampoo is exactly like Manifesto. I loved it then but I dislike it today.
I wear this scent sometimes because of the first ten minutes. When they have passed, I spray on something else.
