'A Drop of Water on a Woman's Skin'
Pure is a thick, rounded, full bodied version of L'eau d'Issey.
In this flanker, the aloof and skeletal yuzu is covered by a chewy marine amber, soft fluffy woods and an orange flower bouquet.
Even though it's a simple linear structure, Pure is an abstract composition replete with nuance and contrast. And, because of this, the perfume escapes the capacity of the critic's words to adequately describe it; the artist's panoply of nuance defeats the writer's lexicon, and all the novice can do is salute the master, Dominique Ropion.
