The Unselfish of the Blackless
Altruist. A name for a fragrance that initially evokes memories of Latin lessons. And thus allows associations of selflessness and unselfishness to emerge, acting for the benefit of others and the needy, often in the form of alms and donations. So let's see what this is that black people donate to us here.

Altruist starts surprisingly fresh for me (I had expected heavier things) and yet completely different from many other fresh fragrances. Not a tropical fruit bomb that floods me with lemony or mandarin effusions, but a very cultivated prelude. Not loud, not shrill, yet at the same time arousing curiosity and, to stay with Latin, an almost distinguished beginning. I would see a vague resemblance to Bergamotto di Calabria by Acqua di Parma, but here the bergamot is by far not so dominant but only as a player of lemony freshness on the field. I think it's a beautifully made duet that gives Altruist a special touch and I really like it.

The excitement for further development remains very much impressed by this combination. Two or three hours later the fragrance changes a bit, and here too I find two notes determining, one a certain spiciness, without being able to say whether the ginger or the pepper triggers this from the fragrance pyramid and the other a floridity. The latter gives the whole story its own soft rounding and makes the scent, which I would have categorized as masculine at the beginning, accessible to the female sex as well. Nevertheless, pepper, ginger and floral hints do not kick the original lemon and bergamot to death, but simply move them a bit to the side.

Another two hours later I hear fine woody undertones, which I think have been done great, the other ingredients of the pyramid are not accessible to me. But don't worry, the scent is also so beautiful.

What are the take aways now?
1) Flacon. Kept in innocent colorlessness, fits an altruistic approach.
2) Shelf life. Joahhh, just so still okay, for a rather fresh fragrance ok but there is quite more to it. ~ 6-7 hours with me, that's it.
3) Sillage. An eau de parfum? Really? So who wants to set with it a (smell) mark, must operate the atomizer already properly, otherwise that becomes nothing. Whether that would remedy the situation, I can't say yet.
4) Fragrance. Yeah, something else from the fresh and woody corner. A little more masculine than feminine, good all-year-round day companion, one who doesn't arouse any questions, because he doesn't provoke, because he is simply inconspicuous but well done. This is an altruistic approach, which exercises restraint and rather remains in the background. You can't do anything wrong with it, but he won't rip me out of the chair. One of those perhaps typical gifts, with which one never is completely wrong.

But at a price of 100-130 Euronen, Schwarzlos(e) is not really that selfless. Either rethink name or pricing, grins!

This one made me very nauseous. It's unbearable on skin in warm weather. Molecules on top of molecules. Quality is only imaginable here.
