A new variant of Black Forest kirsch?
A downright disgusting brew of needle brew and candied fruit opens. Smoky cistus rose sweetness rises rapidly, followed by a cherry-sugar impression like from Agonists 'Black Amber'. Completely unbalanced, how blindly stirred together this prelude seems to me. We may, yes must simply be curious on the progress.

After half an hour a cherry-smoky near amber experience is reached. Wait a minute - cherry? The fragrance evokes "moss and wood in the Black Forest thicket". Black Forest? Black Forest kirsch? That would indeed be a special variant of it.

But the amber theme is not permanent. The strange obscure mood now reminds me of 'Rausch' from the same house, only that today's candidate develops a little less appetite for "Chinese sweet-sour". What kind of attitude would that be with a fragrance of EUR 145 per 25ml? There should be a Peking duck in there by now. Of course it's still weird.

From noon it becomes more bitter, a gradual, but clear character turn towards tobacco and leather takes place. Everything at first more indicated than verifiable, although I can quickly imagine an unsmoked Sumatra cigarillo as a picture of the fragrance. A hint of cumin sweatiness may also be involved and underpin the change. In return, the strange fruit disappears and is gone in the early afternoon. The harsh, new part has taken over completely and then sounds - very close - persistently into the evening. A certain penetrance unfortunately cannot be denied.

"Captive" does not quite fit it conceptually insofar as the scent at hand does not captivate or conquer (possibly by storm). He's a dolt, and it takes him a long time. Difficult to evaluate when a good part of tobacco follows an unsuccessful prelude for my nose. Only an average helps, which unfortunately does not turn out too dolle. For me #2 is the weakest of the line.

I thank Garcon for the rehearsal.

Sticky squash berries on pepper sauce
While "Captve #1" enchanted me with its grace and its transparency (despite dense pepper growth), I already have bigger problems with "Captive #2". Although that sounds too evil, even this peppery ride is not from bad parents, but it is much tougher, less subtle and more cumbersome.

It looks like crushed, cramped wild berries with a delicate pepper grain. Somewhat muddy and very sweet, despite building up, pleasant darkness. It still seems expensive enough, but it's not quite my idea that a designer brand ala Paco Rabane could release a similar fragrance. A woody layer of moss still penetrates "Captive #2", it definitely becomes hazier and more solid in the course of time. But in the beginning there is a lot of sweetness, peppery and affectionate, difficult to penetrate and a little air-raising. Dörrobst and Amber also play roles. Actually the more masculine fragrance, at least after a few hours, but I like his brother fragrance #1 much better. It's looser and more portable.

Flacon: the darker liquid looks even more chic, the rest remains exquisite.
Sillage & Durability: viscous, thicker and stronger than "Captive #1" - 10 hours of peppery power berries.

Conclusion: much more clumsy and striking than the wafer-thin "Captive #1". But if you disregard this high standard, still a beachable, muddy pepper berry. Very handy.

The Rainbow (Over The Black Forest)
I live outside the gates of the Black Forest. Have its scent and also the change every season in the nose. I am very grateful to have this privilege in my life. For too long I had the smells of big cities.

Blackless, however, must have had a magic forest in mind that was captured and described in Captive #2. And I mean that in a really positive way. For this scent hardly reminds me of a forest, of itself. But to a place that does not exist in this world in such a material way.

Spicy, fruity is Captive #2, with a slightly woody base, after the first clear pepper notes have vanished. Some soft, clean moss also shines through here and there. Lightly sweet resin traps.

If you want to be kidnapped into a dark, maybe even threatening forest in Captive #2, you won't be happy here. Rather, this fragrance is a slightly peppery-spicy-fruity unisex excursion behind the rainbow. It fits for me wonderfully into the cooler seasons and has enough strength for an office day, with well dosed perceptibility
