Oudsider
Jacomos Oud for Men combines a rather unusual combination of oud and juniper berries with a citric-spicy top note. This is something completely different than the usual Oud-Rose, Oud-Saffran, or sweet oud scents. In fact, Jacomo Oud has no sweetness at all, but begins with a rather bitter, almost bitter lemon. Discreet oud and juniper are always present, and the lemon fades into the background after an hour. The spices stay a little longer without me being able to smell them out one by one. From all the note inflation at the base (besides oud seven according to the website) I can't see anything, except maybe a hint of musk towards the end.
Unusual, exciting, not so easily accessible the first time, a real outsider. The only catch is the performance. After about 5-6 hours the brother Jakob falls asleep. It just bothers me a little. One can add to the evening, or sing a completely different song without lingering olfactory dissonances, both are possible.
