A Paradox of Disaffection
Jacomo PARADOX is a strange creation. First, it's not sweet. Don't ask me how a composition filled with caramels and vanilla and currants and melon and mandarin could not be sweet, but PARADOX is not.
Although I've worn this edt a number of different times, the words needed to explain it escape me. I don't know how to describe this fragrance--beyond the fact that it features savory patchouli. Perhaps it is the cypress that is neutralizing the sweet notes, with the vetiver contributing as well. PARADOX could be worn just as comfortably by men as by women. It's not very flowery at all.
Do I like it? Yes, I guess, but I don't really know why. It's not meh, but it's not not-meh either. I could easily live without it, but I'm happy to have made this buy, though I'm really not sure why. PARADOX is not obviously appropriate for any particular context, but neither is it inappropriate. Perhaps that is the paradox.
