In 1998, it was the first time that a Patou fragrance opted for the irresistible sweetness of a fruity accord: pineapple, raspberry, melon - which gave the perfume a fresh and contemporary note. But "Patou for ever" doesn't smell like the usual fruity-floral you meet everywhere, it smells lush, seductive and opulent. I can't understand why this brilliant fragrance never achieved the success it deserves, such a pity they discontinued it. The midde-notes consist of a haunting mix of rose and lilly of the valley, which give the perfume its ultimate polish. The radiance of this wonderful fragrance is prolongued by muted woody aspects of sandalwood, iris and violet. "Patou for ever" has a complex formulation that goes through many phases, it sparkles and invites, it is light-hearted and yet it emanates the splendour of the great House Patou. Wearing this, I feel adorned with a "silky aura" - and the sillage is truly enchanting.
