The scent of survival
I write my comments mostly rather neutrally... Not today. There will be talk of violence and other tastelessness. If you don't want to read this, please stop here. But I can't judge the scent without the story.
----------
One morning when the young lady was with this guy for only a few weeks, he shook her out of sleep early at 8am after a disco night danced through. HEY HONEY, GET UP, I GOT A SURPRISE FOR YOU. WE WILL RIDE WITH THE MOTOR WHEEL WHERE, NIX NEEDS TO PARTY.
Oh where are you going?
Surprise now!
The journey took 3 hours. Once she almost fell off her bike in a bend. When they finally got there (Where?????), all her bones hurt. He had said, just don't move as a passenger, otherwise it will be dangerous.
Where are we now?
IN SAMNAUN. I WANTED TO GIVE YOU A PLEASURE. YOU CAN GIVE ME HALF THE FUEL BACK WHEN WE GET HOME. Here you can buy duty free, you want to test it for perfume But I don't have any money.
LEG ICH DIR AUS.
The young lady was forced to buy a large bottle of Ma Dame EDT, despite her objections that she didn't have so much on the high edge (I AM THE LONG STREK EXTRA FOR YOUR DANGERS! Do you want to say now that I did what else???)

But she wore it all the time. It was her scent. Even when times weren't so rosy anymore. Every time he beat her or ravaged the apartment and bent her down in a corner of a room, scared to death. Ma Dame was there to hold her. Even when in Italy he simply left her on the street without any visual aid and she couldn't go anywhere because she didn't see anything and was so ashamed. Or when he once, because she didn't immediately understand a sentence from him, pushed out of anger into a group of drunks they were groping everywhere. Also when one morning the police rang the bell, searched the apartment and then took him away because data carriers with child pornographic material were found. The young lady thought she was losing her mind. But Ma Dame paid attention.

And at some point it was over. If a young lady with poor self-esteem wants to leave a narcissistic and violent man, it takes a lot of preparation and time. But it's all right. -----------
Ma Dame EDT is my scent of the dead brought to life. Or young ladies who've given themselves up from dying. It is as sweet as Classique but a little lighter. For me it actually smells more like orange blossoms than the peel and of course sweet pomegranate syrup. The base is hardly perceptible and there is actually no fragrance course. The Sillage is consistently strong over many hours. A very cheeky and life-affirming fragrance. He lacks the pompousness of Classique. And that also makes him much more bearable for me. I don't know if I'd like him if I just met him now. I like it a little more filigree and subtle now.

In fact, Ma Dame smells like survival to me. After a young lady who is not so weak after all, it seems at first glance. After the confidence of being able to master the difficulties of life, because you have already mastered quite different things. After spring, which comes again even after the longest and saddest winter.
---------------------<<font color="#ffff00">-==- proudly presents By the way, my ex-boyfriend contacted me the other day. He wanted to know how I felt and also said that of all his relationships he actually appreciated me the most. I then told him the joke about the paedophile narcissist who goes to his mother and she asks if she still have child photos of him, somehow he then had no desire to talk to me anymore. Well... I think I spray myself Ma Dame on and am happy about my beautiful life and that I have survived.

"Gaultier Masterpiece"
Of course a "Gaultier Masterpiece" which was expected since I already own the Ma Dame edp appropriate for winter. This is a spring/summer perfume, long lasting and fresh combining citrus/rose/sweetness and presenting a unique aroma which will be noticed by many. The woody notes stand in the background without making the perfume at all heavy and suffocating. Lovely choice with a very nice bottle. Extra happy with it!!! True gem!!!

For Your Inner Rock-Chic!
I love J.P. Gaultier fragrances, they're original and a bit mad....They are my scent antithesis to Chanel, Dior et cetera and everything "posh" and 'politically scent correct'.

Grenadine is -normally- something I walk away from....in a hurry! It also has a slight Play-Doh vibe: Play-Doh is something I haven't touched since kindergarten...never mind that I would like to smell it in a perfume! A gentle rose got added and then there is this powdery note that acts like a bed for the drydown...Mad--Yet, in JPGs Ma Dame these odd notes seem to make sense, as they have a: 'semi punk, rock chic meets Banksy and sprays a graffiti pink heart on the front door of her secret crush' -- vibe, that is fun, cheery and manages to be pretty at the same time.
Now, it's true! This is a scent for a certain mood and not something I wear a lot, but when that crazy mood strikes, this is my pretty, crazy, unusual and fun French Ma Dame that I like to hang out with.

On me, grenadine is the opening note accompanied by that odd 'Play-Doh' vibe. But fear not, it will soon disappear and give way to a rose that is dragging a bed of musk. I am sure an orange has joined the party, but I think the orange jumped in the grenadine punch and is now an apparition rather than a clear note. It's all intermingled into a pretty, unusual, creamy and seductive drydown.

I can highly recommend it for your 'inner rock-chick' because if this scent were a song it would be Blondie's "Denis".... Unusual with its own type of class. Love it or hate it....I don't think she cares.

Silage is: "I am FUN!" -- Longevity is: A crazy yet pretty 5+ hours.

I'm certain. I don't like this composition.
I like the rose in this, and the pink pepper is subdued. However, dry cedar shaving coupled with a dewy sweetness just ruined it for me. If you like Dior Midnight Poison, you might like MaDame too. At the end of the day, it just wasn't for me.

I'm not sure if I like it...
It's a little difficult to review this fragrance seeming that I have a close friend that uses Ma Dame as her signature. It suits her very well. She's a bubbly, petite Greek girl whose personality can light up a whole room.

Ma Dame is unique just like she is. It's what I'd call a daring juicy floral. The floral note of rose is pink and pretty, however the grenadine and orange provides a zesty feel, somewhat alcoholic and wild at times.

It's a fresh fragrance, but that's not to say that it's reserved only for Summer wear. It could be worn all year round in my opinion. It's the type of scent that keeps you energised, particularly with its juicy sweetness and its almost plastic rose.

I'll be honest and admit that I don't particularly enjoy the opening of Ma Dame, I found it quite sharp and somewhat reminiscent of plastic and nail polish, however the drydown is quite beautiful. The base is sweet, powdery and musky, arguably the cleanest aspect to this fragrance.

Ma Dame is personally not my cup of tea, but on the right person it smells just amazing. I admire its unique composition and its applausible longevity. The citrusy tartness and the sweet floral accords really work well together in Ma Dame, and I was not surprised to find Francis Kurkdjian as the nose behind this scent.

An initial promising fruity boozy opening and then 10 min later it all went down to the same JPG DNA. Not bad; just not exciting.
