Lavender summer in the Channel Islands
Lavender is an herb with opposite effects: it can calm and also invigorate!
It has a strong invigorating effect on me; after the evening cup of lavender tea with honey or a drop of lavender oil on the pillow, which I used to recommend, I was awake for hours and could truly turn night into day.
After lavender I become nocturnal like a golden hamster.
It took me a long time to read about this double effect. Before I was only laughed at: the idea that lavender wakes me up just seemed incredible.
Meanwhile I know: avoid lavender, whether as tea, fragrance oil or in incense in the evening!

I love the scent of this herbaceous fellow very much; especially in the early morning hours, when felt fog hang over the city and the sun still has the sleep in the eyes, the spicy scent is very present on my balcony - it lies there like a light blanket. So I have my own little microclimate!
My preference for rosemary also contributes to this: in different sizes these plants populate my balcony. Because this summer really every accidentally broken head cuttings rooted: there are probably six or seven pots living here, and of course the big very old plant!

The best conditions to get involved with "Lavender & Rosmary Cologne" were therefore given right from the start. And Yatagan, knowing my preferences slowly too, filled generously: thanks at this point.

The Channel Island Jersey arouses, just like Cornwall and Madeira, an unquenchable longing in me.
Strong wind is a health disaster for me (even on the medical side forbidden!), so I will never get to know these beautiful regions with their unique vegetation.
So "picture books" and television programs have to suffice for me. Yes, I honestly admit it: I also love Mrs Pilcher's films - just because of the landscape, but not only because of them!

Now the scent of this jersey lavender, which is apparently born directly from the sea, feels both strong and cuddly.
In contrast to the Provencal "land lavender", which only has to fear the mistral; the relative in Jersey has to protect himself in all directions: he is exposed to wind and sea without protection.
That is why this fragrance is stronger than the usual lavender scents and yet neither scratchy nor unpleasant. It blends in flatteringly and comes with a reinforcement that is as robust as it is aromatic rosemary.
I admit: you have to like them! Everyone for himself is unconventional, with some carriers perhaps also stubborn, like the plants to which he belongs.

"Jersey Lavender" cleverly combines these two "brothers in spice" with the freshness of ripe lemons (no, here they do not smell of cleaning agent!) and the slightly acicular resinous scent of the elegant, slender cypress.
These plants are also steeled by wind and therefore very strong in their own aromas.
Thus, "Lavender & Rosmary Cologne" opens quite dark-green; can therefore tolerate the bright glow of jasmine very well. And indeed, the deep, albeit fresh fragrance opens up and becomes more floral, floating: the jasmine removes for a few moments the earthly connection of the previous fragrance.
Sandalwood, as a precursor for a golden shimmering hint of patchouli, this neuter, this child of fragrance leads to adulthood.
Rightly classified as "unisex", "Lavender & Rosmary" gets a personality that is blessed with a certain, almost innocent sensuality with a "seal of purity".
Eichenmoos adds his own spice again; it may read as if it were too much of the green: but no, it seems to be what reinforces the illusion of being in the middle of the Gulf Stream.
I especially like the final additions of amber and incense!
Here, at the latest, the lavender scent, often classified as boring and "old-young", becomes a special being. The "Fräulein", correctly dressed in grey flannel with a slightly powdered face and surrounded by a delicate lavender scent, dissolves and disappears into nothing.
As a hybrid fragrance serving both sexes, "Lavender & Rosmary" brings out in everyone the personality and underlines the harmoniousness in us.

During the last week I had the opportunity to test this lavender fragrance creation; it was different every time, always beautiful!
A strong, spicy embrace that brings a light, protective cape against the unpleasant, thorny in life and generously kills anyone who needs it.
"Lavender & Rosmary Cologne" gives courage, a certain balance and at the same time brings warmth and sunshine.

The average durability is cologne-compatible; re-spraying is a delight and at the same time a little trip wherever one just wants.
"Lavender & Romary Cologne" has the gift of taking you with a light hand to a place of longing.
This makes the aromatic fragrance creature more than just a "freshener" and moth distributor in grandmothers and mothers linen cupboards.

Now I may be preloaded by my strong preference for both name-giving plants.
But I mean, whoever is looking for a lavender scent that is more than average should get involved with this one.
You're always welcome!
