No-Go or stabbing chlorine bomb
Recently I tested the Varvatos in the beautiful, cherry-red, shiny bottle in a noble perfumery in the center of Vienna. The bottle enchanted me, that's why I expected so much good from the fragrance. But in my expectations was seriously deceived.
The fragrance starts sugary-sweet red berry, slightly synthetic in feeling with subtle woods. This strongly overcandierter beeriger smell is already times not really mine. I almost thought he was Jaguar Red's brother.
But then something unforeseen happened. From the fragrance pyramid I can hardly explain what happened to me. Out of the blue, there came a very strong, penetrating, unpleasant chemical note - first I thought of synthetic oud, which can be found in almost every modern perfume today. But no. It wasn't. It was a lot worse. The stinging note somehow smelled of the chlorine in the strongly disinfecting detergent. The fragrance has changed its character, mutated into a penetrating chlorine bomb and remained so. Rarely have I smelled such an unpleasant, unpleasant odor, irritating the respiratory tract.
Not for the weak of heart. Something only for the men who want to smell like the work gloves of employees of the cleaning companies - like chlorine cleaners - bright and clean?- if such men even exist.
The shelf life is above average and practical forever and hardly washable and the Sillage accordingly strong.
