Joop Homme redefined!
This version of Joop Homme has nothing to do with the legend Joop Homme EDT which came out in 1989. This parfum is much more mature and modern. It has the same vibe as Jaques Bogart Silver Scent Deep. You can smell this creamy soda out of it which is caused by the hazelnut and the vanilla which give it that creamy smell. The longivity is very long 8+ hours and the sillage is very good. This scent is for fall, winter and early spring. Of course one can wear it in the summer but only with a few sprays because less means more. It is suitable to wear in the office and for night out.
This eau de parfum is very attractive and is a compliment getter.

Sometimes you can capture the past with your senses: One smells of pleasant memories, the other stinks to high heaven. Ernst R. Hauschka
1989 in the agglomeration of Basel, near Liestal.
Lunch with the family, my brother was a CK One lover, my stepfather was a denim lover and my mother was a Shalimar lover. Today only my brother is still on the same planet.
It was good manners not to put on perfume before dinner, my family as I remember had no perfume on at all on a normal working day and suddenly I appeared and dominated the kitchen, the food and the mood of the other attendees.
Fantavier were stressing about them, me about that one.

The feedback on the pink Joop, which at that time was still really from Wolfgang, brought an irritable and Joop-hostile mood into the lunch break.

The cod fillets on the dining table, had to admit defeat by my Joop, the vegetables could no longer be eaten without the smell of Joop homme.
It was the aha moment, how and where you can use a fragrance and where not.
Every other bottle after Joop was a fabric softener in terms of the sillage or intrusiveness of this pinky concoction.

After that, it was a perceived 30 years of no more fun until the basic traits of Joop homme were revisited in this eau de parfum.
Similarities to the Mugler fragrances especially the Urmugleristen A-Men and the la nuit de l homme l`intense are given, wanted or not, since this one comes from Coty and not Loréal.
The formula can convince, not every copy or remake must be bad.
This modern perfumy convinces thanks to the bergamot which fights against the cinnamon and the black-brown shrub and makes the whole story exciting. Boredom does not arise here.
A product which occurs in the mainstream 2021 so dominant, can only be praised.
You do not have to like it, nevertheless, he has Wumms.
The tonka bean with the sandalwood make this well in time transformed Homme to an almost niche fragrance with an incredible drugstore price.
This combination belongs in the hall of fame or in some other unimportant list which the many expensive, in the design extremely strong and contemporary Rohrkrepierer in the fray. Why does it need niche fragrances with which one is embarrassed by too strong application with the one-sidedness of the ingredients, if one can make it here cheaply?

This Homme is a bright ray of hope to the other new releases which also pick up an old fragrance theme and yet are completely failed.
Examples such as a le male parfum or the most wanted are ideal contemporary witnesses as one should just not tackle it.
That's why you can only have respect from this ancestor of Joop homme, how successful and fitting he has become.
As a signature fragrance not only suitable for the U-20 or Twens, but for people who want to or can revive this long-lasting Homme with beautiful memories.
Joop has here finally continued his right path after the Joop homme absolute and left the path of insignificance something.

It's hard to believe...
...the price-performance ratio! To the fragrance ansich: As often described, but it fits, the original with more heaviness, spice, light sweetness, less loud, more maturity, but still unmistakably Homme, performance loose 24 hours, sillage dangerous for the environment, so incredibly strong, one with which you can easily exaggerate. I like best the scent progression, at the end remains permanently for me extremely pleasant, light sweetness, but not too intrusive and heavy, masculine enough and just delicious without end, ladykiller high 10 and the next morning even better, you smell in any case still incredibly good and she will want to be very, very close to you.... ;-).
My problem with the fragrance is that I only paid 25,- Euro for 100ml and that just can't be?! There is e.g. Jeremys Date in my shelf, costs ten times, but can not keep up with regard to the fragrance itself, is not even in the same league. How can that be? Are we just getting ripped off badly by Tom Ford, Daniel Schütz (Jeremy Fragrance) etc? Most fragrances I have that are cheap also have significant weaknesses in some area. But then every once in a while there's an exception that somehow doesn't fit the bill. I never liked the original, it was way too strong and loud for me, got a headache from it and on top of that it was a typical pimp scent for me, Cartier gold chain on the wrist and around the neck, solarium tanned, leather jacket and of course Joop! Homme without end. I am very happy that he is now also what for me

Joop Homme grows up - price performance killer?
The new Joop Homme starts with a very fresh bergamot and joins a cinnamon & nut combo, hazelnut directly I do not smell out now - but something nutty!

And then comes the old Joop Homme DNA to emerge, which has evolved but. Joop Homme became adults, meets it, I think, quite well.

The old fragrance was a really sweet youthful fragrance. The new Joop Homme is in any case also very sweet and who is not on sweet fragrances, I think, will not make friends with the. But I personally don't find it as sweet as the old one, which I think is good. It also gives it more depth and a certain sticky resinous note.

So who is looking for a winter fragrance that lasts very long, but has the familiar DNA from the 80s, is here with, I think, very well advised.

I had a bottling of the fragrance and had no longer in mind what the fun cost. I thought so 60-70 € but then I look on the Internet 30-40 €!!!! ( On offer - Otherwise 50€ for 75ml, which is still very good)
A real PRICE PERFORMANCE KILLER!

The new guy in the Eros and One Million universe!
I could never do anything with the oldschool Joop Homme EdT.
This pungent cinnamon-like synthetics has always caused me more headaches instead of olfactory pleasure at the time.
Accordingly, I was also skeptical at the newly reissued EdP version the other day in the perfumery of my confidence.
I expected actually the same cinnamon-like Plörre only with more Bums and more headaches.

Surprisingly, I was greeted with a very nice, warm scent that still has a cinnamon-y synthetic coming up somewhere deep hidden, but comes across as much more down-to-earth and modern due to the earthy hazelnut.
Vanilla, tonka and cardamom at the same time in a fragrance to pack, I find brave and everyone should know at the latest with these ingredients, what to expect.
Because by the Christmas baking it has become a very sweet gourmand, which might already be too sultry for some.
As for the obtrusiveness and sweetness, it reminds me of fragrances like Stronger with you, Eros, One Million, or Spicebomb,
but still remains independent and uncompromisingly true to its line.
Even if the fragrance has no sophistication to offer, so the drydown is really very very nice.
Slightly nutty, masculine wafting and comfortably warm around the heart he prepares me just in the Drydown still many beautiful hours.

Conclusion: With the annoying Joop Homme Edt has the EdP no longer much to do.
Who stands on very sweet fragrances, could perhaps be happy with Joop Homme EdP.
The durability is fantastic 10h+
The sillage can also definitely trigger asthma attacks in some people around by spraying too much.
So less is certainly more here!
I like Joop Homme EdP.
No stroke of genius, but a solid Gourmand the Santa Claus would also like guaranteed.

MODERN version of Joop Homme
I dont like OG version, cause is too oldschool and syntetic..EDP has similar DNA, but its a modern reimagination..I get mix of hazelnut, strong cinnamon sweet amber / vanilla and orange blossom is noticeable too .. This version isn't too harsh and smells more slicky and cremier. ALSO nuclear performance, maybe not a beast, but still above avarage!Modern version of OG is here. It can be in the same category like One Million i can say

He's gotten older
For me, the Eau de Parfum of Joop! Homme is one of the most logical further developments that I have ever smelled.

From the loud, sweet, pink and flashy bottle has become after more than 30 years, a more mature and darker bottle, which you can already see the maturation process. At first taste, you immediately notice that it has remained young at heart. The DNA is undoubtedly there and will put anyone who loved the classic from the 90s on notice. The cinnamon note has become noticeably stronger and combined with hazelnut and the lack of lemon in the top notes, it starts off noticeably softer and spicier without seeming weaker. In general, it seems more earthy, but is still in full possession of its powers and that's a good thing. The durability is very good and he should quite easily hold out the day.

It must be said that it definitely no longer stands out, as it is clearly more adapted to the times than the Eau de Toilette was at the time. Armani Stronger with you is actually a fragrance that I would expect in his circle of friends, even if it is then different with its original DNA. It is not unique and you will probably still perceive many similar fragrances, but Joop! Has here a logical successor to the Eau de Toilette's on the market.

I like this fragrance really well and I'm glad that I now have it in my collection. Although I produced in the meantime beads of sweat on the forehead, because he was compared here with A*Men. Doesn't belong here of course, but A*Men I already had to scrub off in the department store toilet because I found it absolutely disgusting. Didn't work, of course, because the stuff sticks like resin. :D I can still understand the comparison

Candy Sweet
My father-in-law loves his A*Men, it can hardly be sweet and sticky enough for him in terms of perfume. But we wanted to give him for Father's Day something different than always the same blue star. So I guessed the new "Joop! Homme". Without having tested it before, without there being any votes even here on Parfumo. That was risky just based on gut feeling, DNA and scent pyramid. Fortunately, he thinks it's really great. And I (with smears) also - now after the test!

The brown EdP of "Joop! Homme" still has the classic Rosabomber DNA of the masculine, boundary-pushing classic. But much more liqueur and subdued, a little denser and more modern, autumnal and spicy. Pappsweet, especially in its second half, where it leaves points and steps into current mainstream fatties. Axe doesn't say hello too far there. However, it never gets bad. And at first, it's actually really fine. For my taste. If you like sweet and still sometimes walk around the Cologne rings in your mind like back then. Or at least sees it with a twinkle in your eye. "J!H EdP" is somewhat reminiscent of "Gaultier squared", which is of course particularly smart and positively puffy. Indeed, even among women, this is definitely a fragrance that will be missed. A little orange blossom storm. Unisex without question. Not badly done, a bit mushy and creamy. Similar but better than, say, Stronger With You. Nutty and fluffy. Fully in the mainstream, but you don't have to hate because of that. Since in recent years, without question, much crappier fragrances have been poured into this famous bottle form.

Flacon: the brown stands in the good and does not seem "poopy"
Sillage: potent, but also not the beast like his pink father (once was and also still is with smears).
Durability: makes its rounds, there I can explore a small town - double digits on my skin almost.

Conclusion: i still like them, the really sweet (macho/player) fragrances... just have to be well made. Or exude nostalgia. And the Eau de Parfum of Joop Homme makes both okay to lush

A new macho fragrance
Who wants to stand out and likes to get compliments is exactly right with the fragrance, he does not smell like the old that eau de toilette, but different, sweet strong long-lasting. Absolutely Testen who stands on One Million Versace Eros Armani stronger with you. I would wear it in the summer but rather in the evening.
