In the end, they all go crazy..
Women... pah, who understands them? Yes, that sounds clichéd now, ... but there must be something to it if even you women sometimes say for yourselves that women can be stupid! And yes, I heard that myself from a woman... well, the way I always complain here, my credibility here is perhaps not the best, but still! D

And you are also diabolical, because you prefer nothing more than to travel our hearts out to us guys, in order to devour it raw! How barbaric! I mean, rather fry it first in a pan or something... argh, I think I've been watching too much of this Hannibal series lately... but you have to admit that most of his "dishes" look totally delicious, as passionate as he always prepares them and then presents them, mu ha ha ha *choked* :DD

And now this scent is called Madame too... so... if this is not a warning signal to the absolute evil in you women... hmmm.... :DD

The fragrance:
The fragrance begins sweetly synthetic and smells of synthetic roses, which somehow smell diluted. All this doesn't smell very good, in addition there is something stinking in the background... um I mean it smells like unpleasant coriander or cardamom. The sweetish one comes from the amber, which also seems to be synthetic.
In the heart note the fragrance still smells synthetically sweet and like roses, the other fragrances I can't exactly smell out. And what on earth is Sylvester-moos, please? Shouldn't it, if anything, be called New Year's Eve moss? Or is that a special moss from Mr. Stallone himself? :D
So I don't know, if you concentrate exactly, you can talk yourself into noticing the smell of oakmoss. No, seriously, something like oakmoss is really there. However, this does not remain so long, so that the moss smell becomes weaker again to the basis. On the other hand, the scent becomes more acidic, because you can still smell the roses well. The sweetish notes become weaker in the base. And then there's animal beaver horny. And although Tolu Balsam is listed, I don't find the fragrance to be very soft or balsamic. All in all, this fragrance is one of the worst Juliettes for me.

The Sillage and the shelf life:
Why is it that something you don't like shines all the more brightly? Good, the scent is not a Sillage cracker, but nevertheless the Sillage is strong and therefore radiates orderly. It will be well perceived in one, but whether that is so good too?
Besides, the scent seems to last forever. There's 14 hours in here loose or something. So you'll be able to smell him from morning till night.

The bottle:
At least the bottle has been made nice as always. It is cylindrical, red and has black plant tendrils everywhere as motive on it. The frame within which the brand of the fragrance stands was also drawn from tendrils. The lid is black and slightly trapezoidal. Like I said, it's a nice bottle.

No no no...
Normally I find most Juliette fragrances to be quite good or at least above average and therefore still usable. But this one just seems to have been mixed together in such a hurry for greedy profit reasons, in order to quickly throw something new onto the market with the thought "somebody will buy it".

I don't like the synthetic fragrance. Well, that's what was wanted here, too, if you take a look at the synthetic scents. But: As I always say: Synthetic doesn't always have to be bad, there are many good examples, but unfortunately this fragrance doesn't belong to these examples... For me it just smells bad and cheap, so you can hardly do anything with it.
No wonder that the Juliette here becomes a Madame... with such a moderate scent...

Like I said, don't sacrifice your arms in a store for that scent...

Oh... and is it possible that I've been picking on you ladies too much lately? :DD
Anyway, it seems like a weeeenig to me when I read my own lines here... :D
But please don't go crazy, don't get angry... In reality I love you all, you know that, don't you? DD

This "Madame" needs a shave :) ...
JHag's Mad Madame is JUST FABULOUS! I had the opportunity of trying this at my local niche parfumerie today and I was thoroughly impressed. I'm just not sure that this one should be graded as a feminine ... in actual fact, I think it makes the perfect unisex!

Right at the opening, one is left with very little doubt that this fragrance hinges on the skillful manipulation of the aroma-chemicals it contains. The wonderful Hedione is front and center and I would lay my head on a block that MM carries a hefty helping of Norlimbanol. I'm not familiar with Ambroxan all that much, but the abject dryness of Norlimbanol is like a deafening roar here. It's great :).
My favorite SA hauled out some training material for me to take a look at with a list of ingredients from the company, which asserts that 8% of this fragrance is made up of Tuberose Absolute (hmmm ... I think perhaps not ... the Tuberose slut in me was unsatisfied) while the Rose, Vanilla and Black Currant are also listed to be absolutes. Be that as it may, this is such a fabulous bomb of a fragrance that I was instantly cooing "oohs" and "aahs" all over the place.
Now, the dry down here is absolutely masculine on my skin, probably due to the Sylvester Moss (supposedly Evernia Prunasti according to the literature I perused) and Castoreum ... with a good chunk of Tolu Balsam too.
5 hours in and this fragrance is reminiscent of a few 80's men's powerhouse fragrances ... things like Kouros and Drakkar Noir come to mind ... and it's still radiating like crazy!
The only negative to this experience is that the store only had 50ml bottles available, at a whopping $120 per. As much as I liked it I would rather fork over a little more for a 100ml bottle ... as this one will definitely be added to my 'wear often' collection asap.

Be warned ... Mad Madame is not for the faint of heart! Wear it only if, like me, you want your fragrance to arrive 10 minutes before you do :).

An Absolute Room-Clearing Powerhouse!
Make a statement with 'Mad Madame'! If you want everyone to look up when you walk into a room, then this is the scent for you.

As with other JHAG fragrances, the main notes begin with some version of rose. Rose Oxide in this case, then there is also freesia, black current and lots of ambroxan (which I just learned is synthetic ambergris - thanks to the Googles). The scent finishes up a long time later with undercurrents of woods and dark, skanky animal sexiness. This is a very loud and bold concoction.

I really love it and I could easily douse a rag in this scent and wrap it around my head, but then I'm afraid I would drive everyone else out of the room. Maybe I would just use it when I'm alooooone.

For me, the projection is enormous and it easily lasts from morning until night. I have dabbed on before bed and woke up the next morning with the scent still surrounding, and lasts for days on the clothes. Mmmmmmmm!

The full madness or: "Madame est folle"
"Mad Madame" unites a couple of themes the brand " Juliette Has a Gun" stands for. Like the famous "Lady Vengeance", 2012's "Mad Madame" is built around a rose accord - and this time, it's bigger and sharper than the rose you might know from "Lady Vengeance". It is also quite metallic - and not as pleasant as I thought.
After a few minutes the "rose oxide" (as it is called by the brand's perfumer Romano Ricci) is joined by a strong, loud patchouli note. Mind you - you have to like patchouli in all its facets to be able to wear "Mad Madame", because the patchouli in this scent seems to have gone ballistic. Enter another old friend, the notorious ambroxan, probably used in order to amplify the earthy aspects of the patchouli and to add yet another woody, nearly resinious touch. The result is a very aggressive tune - the key word here is "overdone". Thus the perfume "Mad Madam" is true to its name - a crazy mixture of rose, ambroxan and patchouli, three forces to be reckoned with and which explode when you release them from their red bottle. The entire creation would seem totally off-key at daytime. Wear it to a party - but remember that it's made for fearlessly self-confident people only. I managed to grab a bottle at our local TK Maxx today and payed much less than I would have had to cash out in a normal perfumery, But I guess once it has gone on sale, it might soon be discontinued. Probably there are simply not enough fearlessly self-confident people around who lust after this particular kind of powerhouse-perfume.

Black currants with roses in a zinc bucket
In the beginning I smell the black currants the strongest, but they are not sweet or gourmand. You can imagine if you took the skin from the currants, which tastes rather sour and tart, crushed them in a zinc bucket and threw a few roses over them. The fragrance has a strong synthetic note, which sounds metallic to me and, frankly, gets on my nerves. Don't buy blind! You have to like that kind of thing. I think it's more of a "love it or hate it" scent
