After the tasting at the whisky dealer I trust
"Fragrance pyramids" have it in themselves that they create expectations and associations quite strongly steer - one still traces the smallest olfactory tidbits and then it can happen that you smell even with "In the Mood for Oud" quite well-behaved still the raspberries. At least with me it is so (except for that with the raspberries).
In the Mood for Oud" reminded me of whisky - namely the extremely smoky, peaty ones from the Isle of Isley. If the words are missing with the whiskey, you can help yourself fun with "Tasting Wheels" - which are more structured and less ornate than fragrance pyramids and also for "In the Mood for Oud" more appropriate in the application: iodine, smoked bacon, ash, soot, tar, leather - that's what the Tasting Wheel gives for this fragrance. I'll go with that in a heartbeat. In a whisky, I find this composition interesting. However, I can't think of an occasion to smell like this myself.
