A forest on the coast of California
The trees of Big Sur grow like roots from the endless heights of the sky, their trunks standing in the ground like the legs of mighty mammoths, waves rushing from the Pacific like inscribed leaves, words turned thoughts of Kerouac, Miller, and the intoxicated minds of the dropouts who stayed here to be gone. Breathe in.
The eucalypt light of the pine shines ethereally bright waterfalls into the resin chesperides of the fir, onto the camillic herbs, the tart woods, the hint of menthol in the pine. And from the white sapwood of the sequoia trunk, incense resinous balsam mists, drifting like a veil of sweet haze down the steep slopes, the fungal lichens on the furrowed barks, the sticky needles covering the earth. Breathe out.
**
Juniper Ridge, based in Oakland, California, is fully committed to sustainable organic production of natural products. The 13-member team harvests most of their raw materials wild, they source woods from likewise sustainable forest management, and they produce their oils using steam distillation.
"Coastal Pine" brings California's misty coastal forests to life. From ethereal pines, citrusy firs, to tart pines and balsamic redwoods, to forest earth covered in sweet sticky needles. True to its natural origins, the scent quickly becomes skin deep, where it unfortunately lingers for only a few hours.
