A fragrance that does not know what it wants to be
To start a little puzzle:
Pistachios and cookies, but a gourmand I am not,
a bouquet of flowers in full bloom, but floral I am not
Fruit and fruit in my heart, but fruity I am not
Who am I?
Answer: yum pistachio gelato
At the first spray received me first a citrusy-fruity cloud, the bergamot pushes here as the first to the front. Somewhat delayed in tow then also follows a subtle rum note and pistachio, although I can not say what is to remind of pistachio ICE. It's more of a dry pistachio, more reminiscent of the nut than creamy ice cream. Or even more like a pistachio pastry, as the scent quickly develops a distinct sweetness after the initial bergamoty opening. Hazelnut and cardamom, on the other hand, I do not smell at all.
So we summarize: Prelude fruity-citrus with development towards gourmand.
But wait, before the fragrance can become really gourmandig, the flowers suddenly set in and bloom, what the stuff holds, the fragrance is thus suddenly a sweet-floral perfume, but the pistachio cookie is still there in the background and at the latest now you no longer know what to think of Yum Pistachio Gelato. It seems unrounded as a composition. It starts fresh, then it wants to be gourmand, sometimes floral, and sometimes it's just sweet. The dominance of individual notes changes constantly and makes the fragrance seem rather inharmonious, even if the components for themselves are not so bad. The drydown is then simply an indefinable sweet mix, as if the perfume itself had given up wanting to smell like anything in particular.
