Reflection Man alternative at a low price
I didn't like the scent at all at first.
I sprayed it on and thought it reminded me too much of Le Mâle Eau de Toilette and I'm really not the biggest Le Male fan.
That's why I put it aside for several days and didn't want to wear it.
After a few days, I gave the perfume another chance and the opening still reminds me of Le Male.
But after a short moment it most likely goes in the direction of Reflection Man.
I have never tested Reflection Man, but according to some people who own Reflection Man, Shiyaaka is supposed to be a great alternative to it.
I can't confirm whether this is true.
What I can say is that the fragrance is different from everything I know, ok except for the opening, which reminds me of Le Mâle.
But then it's a fresh, floral, powdery fragrance that smells mature and very classy at the same time.
It is fairly linear, meaning it only changes very minimally after opening.
The best way to describe it is that what you can smell after 2 minutes, you can also smell after 2 hours.
But that doesn't have to be a bad or negative thing.
Now to the most important part, what does the perfume smell like?
As I just said, floral, fresh (clean) and powdery.
But this can be understood in many ways.
That's why I'm listing what I perceive so that you can imagine what to expect here.
Prominent for my nose are the notes petitgrain, neroli, ylang-ylang (the floral elements), pepper which gives the fragrance a very light spiciness, sandalwood and very subtle vetiver.
The last two notes give the fragrance a pleasant powdery freshness.
Somehow the perfume seems fresh and metallic to me, although it doesn't smell metallic at all.
But it has a bit of a vibe, something that cools you down on hot days like cold metal.
It also reminds me a little of freshly laundered bed linen.
It's just super clean, I think a lot of people will be reminded of fabric softener.
That makes it perfect for summer, but it's one of those fragrances that you can wear anytime, anywhere.
The performance is great, it accompanies me my 8-9 h without any problems, I would not have expected that.
All in all, a beautiful fragrance that may not clone the original 1:1, but it's still worth buying in my opinion.
