Dangerous liason
When I was a child I happened across a book called Russians as People. It was illustrated with photos of smiling peasants on tractors and heroes of industry toiling away in steel mills and the like. Blatant Cold War propaganda in other words, designed to persuade us capitalist running dogs that the USSR under Khrushchev was something to be admired.

And now the boot is on the other foot. Kilian are trying to convince Putin's Russia this poor cardboard rose is really Good Perfume.
