As is so often the case in life, when you search for something and find something completely different than you ever expected. That's what happened to me with perfume and that wonderful scent.
When I decided at the end of last year to plunge into the adventure "fragrances and perfumes", I inevitably landed on Parfumo and was fascinated by this wonderful community from day one. I didn't expect to find something like this. The cultivated tone, the respect for other opinions and this passionate dedication to perfume. Sensational
Well, and now I'm actually sitting here writing my "first-time commentary". That was already an inner fight but this community gives me the confidence to express myself Besides, there is nothing written here about the Addiction Pétale and that is a pity with this extraordinary fragrance.
Which brings us to the subject:
I was looking for some fragrances for the coming spring and summer. So I ordered some scent samples from Aus-Liebe-zum-Duft and the AP was included as a free sample. Since my focus was on the selected samples, I only got my hands on these little brown sample boxes again a few days later. If only I'd taken care of what's in those boxes sooner. I would have saved myself a lot of painful experiences with the samples.
As I sprayed the AP and sniffed the back of my hand where the scent was waiting to be discovered, a loudly spoken OMG escaped me, followed by the widest grin I've ever had on my face when sniffing a scent. I took another deep "nose pull" from the back of my hand, soaked up the scent with everything my lungs gave off, closed my eyes and was mentally and emotionally in a flower meadow in the brightest sunshine, with fruit trees in full bloom and a deep feeling of happiness. Like when you come to a spot of land that is so beautiful, untouched and idyllic that you don't dare to enter it, so as not to destroy this idyll, but to sit on the edge of it, just to look at this beauty and enjoy it with all your senses.
The fragrance begins immediately with a fresh orange but not with the spiciness of most summer scents, which, with their exaggeratedly citric tones, give you a stab in the cerebellum. Here everything is woven together like a bouquet of flowers. Whereby the fresh note is in the foreground. Unfortunately, I cannot describe what happens then olfactorically in a scientific way, because I do not have enough knowledge about it yet.
It simply becomes round, soft but not blurred. It's like cutting a gemstone. The still somewhat impetuous and perhaps rough is rounded off and he gets soul and shine.
A shine that is very clearly visible for the next 1.5 to 2 hours, even from the surrounding area. Since I live alone, I had to call in a dear colleague who also has fun with scents as a detector at work.
She also took away my doubts that the scent might be too feminine. Your statement: very clear for the man.
What I was missing was the woody component. I just can't find her, even though she's listed in the fragrance pyramid. But I don't miss her either, because the scent is consistent. Soft, flattering and little by little the initially dominant orange leaves more and more room for a little more warmth and the fruity and flowery overall impression.
The durability is with me in such a way that I apply it in the morning on the skin, it projects approx. 1.5 - 2 hours, then still approx. 2-3 hours in the situation is to be made noticeable in the room, if I stay longer in it and then becomes ever more skin-closer however on the next morning still at the upper and undershirt smellable is What I also find very very pleasant is that this perfume does not get a sourly sharp note at the end as with other fragrances. I don't know if anyone else knows this when you meet work colleagues at the end of a working day, who then smell as if their EDT had already exceeded the sell-by date at the time of purchase and the whole guy is screaming from every pore of his body for a shower.
That doesn't happen here. The fragrance remains pleasant and clean until it has taken its last olfactory breath
All I can say is that I'm happy. Firstly because I found this great fragrance, which is so different from everything else in my collection and yet versatile to wear; and secondly because I have created this comment.
I hope it is written clearly enough to give an impression of the Addiction Pétale.
I wish us all continued good times.
