En Voyage chez l'Artisan Parfumeur:20- Longing, Sage and a Curry
I first heard of Jatamansi when I pulled the sample from JilMare's great walking letter. I was all the more interested, because Jatamansi, in German "indische Narde" has a great history in its use. Mentioned as a healing oil in the Old Testament, as well as used in Ayuveda, it is still used today, among other things, due to its calming effect.

Start quite fruity, everyone knows the smell of the mess that causes the peeling of grapefruit. Then sage full. This musty minty is as loud as I have ever perceived. In any perfume. It turns into something curry-like, but authentic curry that doesn't necessarily smell spicy, but smells like a variety of spices, not that soft-flavored fast food curry. The smell of Indian nard I do not know and can unfortunately not assign, may be that what I perceive as curry, the nard be so. In addition, so I perceive it something "skin care", which is fortunately more in the background. That should be the rose. Soon it dives again and this curry-like plays double pass with the sage.
Sage here makes me think of the damp comforting feeling of sauna infusions.
Here Jatamansi makes now and then short excursions into spicy "tea-scented realms".
I must say that I am quite fascinated by this perfume. This mutability of the individual fragrance notes, which alternately always come to the fore and create strong images, that I find really rare.
For some time, a trip to India or Sri Lanka was planned with me, this fragrance grabs me exactly with this longing and promotes my travel drive to light.

In the base, everything settles a bit, this "back and forth" felt by me loses itself in the consistency of the smell of a small shop where you can buy traditional Asian food as well as small figurines, tea's, oils and incense.
Not a scent I want to wear for me, even though I really like the way this perfume is made and I like the scent a lot, I would rather see it on ladies, of any age.

Unfortunately, this fragrance is no longer available, too bad because it is really something special. It remains probably the bizarre in the fragrance world, the numerous dupes and copies coexist and unique fragrances fall over behind and are stamped.
With it remains hopefully stamped this round drinking bottle flacon, in which this appeared next to the beautiful slim 50 ml flacon (which unfortunately no longer exists).

Thank you for reading my comment.
