Hunting butterflies..
Yesterday I finally got my 3 samples of For the Love of Fragrance. La Chasse aux Papillons is a fragrance I always wanted to test but because it is an EDT, I have held back until now. I don't own any EDTs at the moment because I prefer to wear fragrances that have a stronger H+S.... The notes have made me but curious and finally it was so far and I was not disappointed..
I spray a paper handkerchief full of this fragrance and sat down and sniff the first time this for me unknown fragrance ... I see a meadow full of flowers ... Two little girls are running around laughing in their light long white summer dresses and are chasing the many colourful butterflies flying around everywhere. It is summer and the sun is shining. The meadow is so full of flowers that you would think it was a sea of flowers. We are not in the present time, but 60-100 years ago... Back when the meadows were full of flowers and there were thousands of butterflies. The world could breathe and the countryside was full of meadows, flowers and trees... That's what I have in mind when I close my eyes and breathe in that beautiful scent... No other fragrance has so many beautiful images in my head evoked we this great fragrance..
What can I say except that the scent is just gorgeous... Super feminine and very powdery... The fragrance starts with a hint of tangerine and a touch of pink pepper but in the foreground is 100% the floral notes, which are really super refined blended here. The jasmine is soft and pleasant and the tuberose is velvety, full and thankfully not green, but sweet and smooth. Lime blossom and O blossom make the scent different and more interesting than many other floral scents that smell pretty linear like tuberose and jasmine.... The scent has a hint of pink pepper but so light that it can only be described as a delicate icing on the cake. The scent is velvety/floral with a twist and feels to me like a soft blanket of the most beautiful flowers you can imagine..
I don't know any other fragrance that smells similar. You have to like powdery tuberose/jasmine scents to appreciate this fragrance, because tuberose and jasmine are the main actors here but with so many terrific supporting actors that support this beautiful fragrance so great..
I must test the fragrance further to H+S Feststellen to be able to. Until now I can only share my "first Impression" here with you..
