L'Occitane's mastery of flowers is really displayed in this beautiful fragrance. This is not a straight sweet vanilla perfume: it i full of flowery delight. Just a side note: I am a fan of L'Occitane but not a fan of flowery perfumes.
This vanilla is realistic, sweet, full-bodied and a little sticky but the best part of it is that it has a soft flowery aroma that makes one drunk. This flowery essence does not detract from the real-vanilla smell but only enhances it.
I adore this perfume. I have been searching for a good vanilla perfume for years: I want something very much like SDV from Guerlain, but something that was longer-lasting and more affordable. I need a bite to my vanilla and I don't mind if it smells like cake. This perfume does satisfy that sweet tooth longing but it is much more than a chewy vanilla (like Vanillary). This is a beautiful, multi-layered creation without a hint of anything off-putting or synthetic. There is a purity and loveliness here that is really special. I cannot believe they would discontinue something this beautiful.
