The Green Baron
A bottle label with an Italian biplane pilot with the fragrance name "Verde" inevitably makes you think of a "green Baron" - quasi as an imaginary counterpart to the historical "red Baron", the flying ace in the ranks of the Imperial Air Force in the First World War. Who has paid attention in history and/or is familiar with "Snoopy" from the Peanuts, knows what I mean
But possibly I think again much too much or make me too much thought, what wants to tell us the name of the fragrance including presentation.
Yet "Verde" is certainly not an old or nostalgic little water, but comes across relatively modern. So it could possibly sniff, if one would mix a second-rate Cool Water Dupe and a rather inferior copy of Jil Sanders background together. Keeps it quite fresh, but also very green at the same time with spicy floral sweetness. This scrubs very close between washing powder and bathroom cleaner, but is somehow likeable enough to spray yourself with it every now and then on hot days.
Certainly, for dates or dinner I would not use the guaranteed, but as an uncomplicated everyday Eau de Toilette on sunny days he has his justification.
Initially hold really aquatic-fresh with some lime and other citrus companions he tends later to a slightly algae heart to base note, which causes points deduction.
In the incipient drydown, the greenling is actually more vanilla and thanks to musk as well as amber a little softer - just almost obligatory.
