May contain galloping stag

Green, woody, and leathery, Faunus has quickly become one of my favorites. It's simultaneously fresh and animalic. I can't help but think of horses when I smell it. Faunus resembles Incendo, another fragrance from La Curie, but is less sharp and smoky. To me, it has an odd elegance and luxuriousness to it, likely owing to the strong leather note that persists long after application.

La Curie / Faunus

Ancient shadows of GAJU. Inspired by the god of the forest

The smell of the forest… a cedar grove initially lined with bergamot. Walking through this grove we come across smoky smells here and there - maybe it's some burnt pieces of wood scattered here and there. So you also smell a little wood, a little smoke. In the base, however, you can feel a cool, affordable agarwood-oud (apparently Cambodian).

Projection and durability at an average level. Worth knowing.

Ingredients: cedar wood, agarwood (oud), French hay, marbled
bergamot, Corinthian leather, galloping deer, aloewood
