Forbidden Love and a Death
This commentary covers two fragrances from La Fleur by Livvy: 'Forbidden Love' and 'Midnight Mortals'. The fragrances are natural perfumes. Midnight Mortals' is not listed here and the fragrance is no longer listed on the company's website.
Forbidden Love' begins fruity and sweet. But I can't see the orange listed in the pyramid. The fruity one can no longer be smelled quickly and the sweetness seems to come more from flowers.
For a good hour nothing changes and then the flower sweetness is replaced by a vanilla sweetness. Unfortunately, it already was. Forbidden Love' is getting weaker and weaker and after about three hours it's just gone.
In my opinion 'Forbidden Love' is actually a fragrance for young women. For spring and summer. But the simple design, the weak durability and the very high price speak against a purchase. You can get a drugstore fragrance like this for a few euros. Sillage: 4 points, shelf life: 3 hours.
Midnight Mortals, I guess the name says it all. The scent dies faster than you can test it.
The start is fresh, flowery and reminiscent of 4711 Echt Kölnisch. Unfortunately the freshness flies away fast and 'Midnight Mortals' gets musty. After about half an hour I smell some wood. Although that doesn't scare away the stuffness.
After one hour there is absolutely nothing more to smell of this scent!
Midnight Motrals would be a feminine fragrance, perhaps for cooler temperatures. If he were better.
I'd give it the following rating: Fragrance 3 points, Sillage 3 points, shelf life: 1 point.
