Summer, sun, fizzy drinks
A purchase I didn't actually want to make.
I was on vacation & had actually banned myself from buying perfume. But like every vacation, there was this one perfumery. The sales clerks already knew me as I came by every evening, day after day, on my evening stroll. There was an amazing selection of fragrances, especially fragrances that are difficult to smell in Germany. And yet I was drawn back to the same shelf every evening. It was at the bottom right - the Noir Toscane - Vanille Raisin. I had never heard of the brand before, but I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised! Great fragrances with good longevity. I had been looking for a strawberry fragrance for some time, as fragrances such as Mukhallat are just too synthetic for me.
I smell strawberry, even if it's supposed to be grape. Not a sticky sweet strawberry, but rather a sparkling strawberry. Like a strawberry-flavored lemonade or fizzy drink. The fragrance then becomes more vanilla in the drydown, which I really like.
Who would have thought it - despite the "purchase ban", the Noir Toscane - Vanille Raisin had to come with me & will be my everyday companion in spring.

Cardboardy sweet grape
I bought it blind because of the good reviews. At first I found it very synthetic. The grape in the middle is very sweet. At the end it smells ok, but the way to vanilla is way too long and synthetic for me. It's loud, almost shrill and hangs in your clothes forever, which is a good thing if you like the scent. Unfortunately a bad buy.
May move on.

A long road
The fragrance starts with vanilla, which is peppered with dried fruits. Unfortunately, a massively artificial grape also intrudes into the foreground. In addition, something indefinable massively disturbs the top note. It just doesn't want to be rounded. At some point, the troublemaker gives way to a beautiful floral, sweet vanilla note and only peeks out in the background. The vanilla keeps turning up and takes on a caramel note. The base is really beautiful and well-balanced, but unfortunately I find the way there too strenuous.

What Grape Soda
Yes! Inner cries of joy after the first sprayer. That's Welch's Grape Soda. What do I love about this American lemonade...

Whereby American limo sounds so cheap and squeaky, which is not a bit the case here. Perfume and drink have a special note that you hardly find anywhere else: a dark, fruity sweetness, as with pickled rum raisins. Very extra, very tasty.

It also reminds me a little of a doll I had as a child: Greta Grape by Cherry Merry Muffin. And also here I apologize for this great niche scent, that I compare it with nineties plastic dolls. But whoever had Greta Grape knows what I mean. I fell asleep blissfully with this doll in my face.

In the course of time Noir Toscane becomes more sugary, the fruity gives way to a light powderiness. A bit like these dextrose rolls from the pharmacy, which were available in all possible flavours in my childhood. Of course also grape, the rolls then had a purple edge.

Overall, this fragrance is absolutely pleasant, also for the environment, and wearable in everyday life. The Sillage is perceptible but not overwhelming.

The durability is fine, but I would like it to be more pronounced.
