Dreamlike Antibiosis
In my childhood I made regular acquaintance with the well-known, not very popular tonsillitis. So often that one day the pediatrician looked at me through his round glasses with a benevolent, thoughtful expression and told me that these small tonsils in my throat would probably have to be operated on, if only there were another inflammatory process. Gosh, I had the creeps!
From then on, there was never again an inflammatory process in my tonsils, which from then on must have been shocked.
Yet I also have a strangely funny and familiar memory of the time of my tonsillitis, namely a wonderful scent. A scent that I have never since perceived anywhere close to this form - the scent of the antibiotic in the form of a pink, viscous, almost plural and molasses-like juice. This juice was always used when the dear almonds did not want to swell at all and the disease was too far advanced to be treated with parental love, sleep and tea. And it was exactly this scent that rubbed my nose a few days ago. It was the scent of La Rive - Give me Love.
In the local drugstore I smelled myself through the La Rive range, located rather in the lower area of the display of goods and shelves, where it is more convenient. But not necessarily less fragrant, as I was allowed to notice quite often. Give me Love seemed rather inconspicuous to me in a small bottle with a pink translucent lid, but that's exactly why I tried it. I sprayed twice on the paper, once on the back of my hand, and went outside the shop to smell the fragrance without any restrictions. "Wow....." I murmured aloud to myself. A lady, who was just about to enter the shop, turned to me in disgust. The smell ran around my nose, lay around my shoulders like a blanket of pink fluffy clouds on this cold, dark November afternoon and gave me not only memories of festering almonds but also a feeling of security, comfort and cheerfulness
Even though Give Me Love smells like the antibiotic of my childhood at first, EdP is developing in a more flowery direction. I can't make out a single component, and I don't notice a hint of coconut or banana, which could smell quite distinct. For me, the scent starts off rather soft, sweet, fruity and changes into a small bouquet of flowers. Like a fruit bowl with fresh, cool fruit, sprinkled with just cut flowers and petals.
In any case, the scent groped its way home with me and I put it on every day. Three or four squirts are not too thickly applied for me either. For me, the fragrance is a little secret tip with a nostalgic factor.
