Lakshmi Ayurvedic Beauty was founded by Katharina von Nagy in Munich in 1988 and initially focused on the mail order and wholesale of Ayurvedic products. Katharina von Nagy was inspired by Dr. Shri Balaji També, a world-renowned Indian physician and multiple award-winning scientist and teacher of Ayurveda, yoga, meditation and music therapy. To this day, he remains her source of inspiration and strength, constantly stimulating and motivating her to further develop her company and its products. In doing so, the focus is on women and their femininity. Thus Katharina von Nagy says about herself: "I am a very sensual woman. And I want women to rediscover and emphasize their femininity with the help of my products."

Today, Lakshmi Ayurvedic Beauty is based in Wolpertshausen, Baden-Württemberg, and produces and distributes Ayurvedic kajals, natural perfumes and natural cosmetics. In the production and distribution of Ayurvedic Kajal, the company is now the market leader in Europe.
