Ü30-Party with Prosecco free
Recently, I was standing at a crossroads next to two women, one of whom - or both? - i could smell something that made me think of Lancômes La Vie est Belle at first glance. And yet again not. The scent was even less ignorable and even more edgy than I remembered La Vie est Belle - which could have simply been due to the (over)dosage - but its sweetness wouldn't have been any different, albeit of a similar nature. White-flowered. More voluminous. Even more confident. Even sweeter.

La Vie est Belle, the original - now five years old again, can you believe that? - (despite his brute advertising campaign and the grotesquely photo-shopted Julia Roberts) wouldn't be so successful if he didn't press the right buttons on many - and by that I don't just mean the pretty pink bottle with the nice glitter ribbon around his neck. La Vie est Belle meets a zeitgeist of floral sweetness, which in the near future will certainly be called one of the main fragrance trends of this decade: it was followed by Dior and Gaultier, with pink almost clones of Lancôme's flower splendour. Recently even Guerlain, but Mr. Wasser is not only an artist, but also a merchant. Open minded cheerful. Lovely. Loud.

La Vie est Belle L'Éclat turns on the sound of the original. And often the volume changes the essence of a tone, a chord, an arrangement. In my commentary on La Vie est Belle I called him harmless, pleasing and ultimately very conventional. His L'Éclat version, on the other hand, is in a state of shrillness, sometimes sharply on the edge of something almost ordinary. Too much orange blossom and jasmine, stunning in their grace and synthetic both. Too much vanilla, powdery, but no less artificial. A fragrance like free prosecco for all women at an Ü30 party. Sounds good at first, but quickly becomes exhausting and too much. Just like Lancômes La Vie est Belle. And La Vie est Belle L'Éclat many times more.

Conclusion: the two women next to me at the crossroads were cheerful, loud and self-confident. And they thought they were cute too, at least they called each other that: 'Sweetie, did that guy just check me out?' 'No, he didn't.' "Then he's probably gay, or he would have And I thought, "No, it's clear Next to us at the crossroads a homeless person with a cardboard sign and cup sat in front of him on the sidewalk, and one of them said to the other: 'Oh God, not a nice job either...' And I thought to myself, 'Nah, it's clear.'

Don't be so hasty!
La Vie Est Belle has never pleased me in the original and also no Flanker was something for me. But when it comes to perfume, I'm generally set up to test everything - from three euro discounters to mainstream or limited high-end perfumes to the 100th cannibalization of L'Oréal or Coty. There's just nothing I'm categorically opposed to in the first place. You have to dive for pearls!

And so it was here. L'Éclat stood in "my" perfumery on the shelf with the novelties and so I sprayed him on. Hmm, I like this one surprisingly well! And I don't think he has anything to do with LVEB anymore. There's something so scratchy about her that I just can't smell on myself. I can't call it that exact, I've already been asked by others that I smell funny-obtrusive when I've played the original. It must be one of those skin chemistry things. But to be honest, the fact that every third woman in the subway smells like this doesn't necessarily make the perfume more attractive for me.

The little sister, on the other hand, is completely out of line. Instead of pears and pralines we get mandarin and vanilla served here. Immediately after spraying on, the top note comes to lightly pungent, but only for a few minutes - then the delicate jasmine and the orange blossoms appear. But I like vanilla best of all. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is one of the most beautiful vanilla interpretations I know. And I love vanilla and have already tested a lot!

The vanilla is very soft and tender-sweet, supported by the soft sandalwood. Exactly the opposite occurs with L'Éclat as with the standard LVEB: My skin chemistry harmonizes wonderfully with this fragrance, it needs skin, I feel with it really pleasantly wrapped and safe. The durability is hammer-like, especially on the clothes. The scent is clearly perceptible for several days, the vanilla base note really remains on textiles forever. I had sprayed it on my blazer, which I hung out to air after wearing it - but L'Éclat could still sniff it.

So give the fragrance a chance, if you like Posion Girl EdT or Mon Guerlain for example - they go a bit in this powdery-sweet direction. He's a beautiful gourmand, if you let him work. And for me it is even something very special because of the vanilla pod, although you wouldn't think that of LVEB at all!

Together...
....this is supposed to be the message behind the spot for lˋÉclat . Well, if ˋse thinks so. I basically made a mega bow about everything that starts with "La vie". There's nothing about "together."

The sample that was once added to a purchase disappeared into the depths of my sample box. I thought she was in good hands. At some point I searched this box for a certain sample and with lˋÉclat fell into my hands. Since a dear colleague uses the "normal" La Vie est belle, I thought I'd give her a little pleasure. But she refused thankfully and said she didn't like it at all. It wouldn't have anything to do with the original scent. AHAA!! That sounded good!
So I tested lˋÉclat.

It starts very fruity with the tangerine, maybe a little bit stinging. That's true. But just for a second. The orange blossoms and the jasmine are very well perceptible. But you don't really have to wait long for the really great base note. The vanilla and sandalwood make it indescribably creamy and cuddly. Patchouli with a hint of vanilla is what hangs in your hair or clothes the next day.
I find it suitable for all occasions because in my opinion it is not intrusive. Provided, of course, you dose moderately. I need a sprayer to the back of my neck and the back of my knees.

So what now? He's great. Really great! We don't need to talk about H+S. Mega. But discreet and not so screaming. Rather clean, fresh and cuddly. Of course he's cute, too. But not in the way I expected.

I like!!

Now I actually own a La Vie est belle scent.

Nice! But not my style.
Hello dear ones, today two comments from me: Wow, what am I productive ;-)

As some may know, some time ago I wrote a laudatory commentary on LVEB, the "original". I still stand by it, even though I hardly wear the scent anymore. It just doesn't suit me !

Yesterday I was in a perfumery for the first time in a long time, where I could finally test fragrances again with pleasure ! Oh, that felt good. So I tested among other things "La Vie est Belle L'Éclat L'Eau de Parfum". Immediately I was very impressed, I have a weakness for orange blossom, which really jumps at you in this perfume (well, I don't want to exaggerate, but it is very dominant). In addition, it has a certain fruity freshness, at least in the beginning. Soon, sweet vanilla comes into play and gives a homely feeling. For a moment I was inclined to buy the fragrance. Of course also to support a distressed retail business in the crisis.
But, you know, I'm pretty slick now. I know exactly, in the beginning I would be on fire, but in the course of time the enthusiasm would gradually diminish ... I am not the type for it, I would not feel well ... The scent would eventually overwhelm and tire me with its concentrated load of sweetness. The modern gourmand fragrances, all the flower bombs, scandals, olympeas and whatever they're called, instinctively have a strong attraction. You want scent?! Bang, there you go! Right in the twelve! Hardly anyone can resist the smell. It's like a bag of jelly babies with them. You can't stop, but in the end you've had enough. Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk No, I've gotten smarter over time: A perfume must suit the type! In my opinion. That's also the reason why many people here in the forum fall for fragrances that they don't like anymore. At another everything may be wonderful and harmonious, but then it just fits. This is like a dress, not every cut and color suits you !
Besides, I'd be very irritated if some Jeremy guy (nothing against Jeremy - he recommends this perfume, by the way) in the elevator standing next to me shouted: "Sexy! In my opinion, the fragrance is something for women who want to please.
I am now definitely out of this phase.

Something to bite on?
Hello, snoopy animals! Hm, was that insulting? No, I think not, after all, this is a fragrance forum, where only fragrance freaks like you Parfumas are on the road, who as a daily ritual first thing in the morning 250 mL of green-slimy nasal snot rinse out of the nose, so that you can smell better! Boah, that's disgusting!!!

Well anyway, once again I'm describing a new fragrance, and today it's the Lancôme brand. And before a certain screeching perfumista starts jumping around gleefully, NO! I still haven't tried the new La Nuit (the "Dentelle de Roses")!!! Instead, today I'm describing the "La vie est belle - L'Èclat" EDP, but yes, it seems to go down well with most, but we'll see.

I have to admit that I have hardly tried a La vie est belle fragrance yet, I know I know, that's shocking for someone who has tried almost 2000 fragrances, isn't it? I can't tell you the reason, I don't know myself. Maybe it's because it's one of those fragrance series where a new flanker comes out every year too, and you're starting to lose track here, so you keep putting off testing. Or maybe it's because I had hardly any samples of the fragrances and did not dare between all the girls in the fragrance department... *sigh*

But well, enough babbling, now comes yes an impression of one of these fragrances and yes, let's see how he is so.

The fragrance:
The scent starts off fresh with citrusy scents as well as a nice soft sweetness. I smell oranges and lemons as well as jasmine. Quickly I smell also floral notes like the freesias, which can come across quite slightly stuffy in the background, but not really disturb, because at the moment anyway still the citrus and sweet fragrance notes are in the foreground.
Later, the citrus scents fade more and more, so that the fragrance is increasingly sweet. You can smell vanilla, which is powdery and of course sweet, but the jasmine can still be smelled as well. In addition, the sweetness of the fragrance also seems to me now and then "darker", as if musk is included.
Still a little later, the fragrance gets a slightly earthy note through the patchouli. With vanilla and patchouli, the fragrance also goes into the base, so that in the end everything smells sweetly powdery with a slightly earthy touch, plus gently rounded off by light woods. A very nice fragrance, albeit with a slight synthetic touch in the background.

The sillage and the durability:
The sillage is pretty good, the scent is good to smell on one for a long time even at longer distances. I also found the durability very good, as he was still good to smell with me after six to eight hours.

The flacon:
The bottle has the basic shape of all La vie est belle fragrances, so again the base is extremely thick. The bulbous part, in which the pink fragrance liquid was let in, is cut and faceted here this time, on top of which is the neck, which has a white, silky bow. The lid is again rather simple and represents a transparent square. All in all, a beautiful bottle.

Conclusion:
Soo,... okay, this La vie est belle isn't bad at all. Well, I don't know most of them, but the only La vie fragrance I had tried so far (the L'Eau de Parfum) was just quite mediocre for me. Therefore, I just do not know how the fragrances are otherwise, but this one turned out pretty nice.

For me, this fragrance is the purest Ausgehduft. By its freshness and the almost excessive sweetness and the gentleness of the fragrance you might think that the main target group are rather younger, which is probably true, but by the patchouli has the fragrance just in the base now and then also a slightly more mature touch, so you older ladies (uhh, always dangerous to say so :D) could also sniff in here.

As I said, you can use it well for going out, and that basically also at all times of the year, although I would dose him on very hot summer days rather less, because the many sweet fragrance notes might act yes oppressive for some, well,... you just have to try that, but either way, I think this is one of the fragrances that makes a girl appear again so right to bite :D

Well, that's it from me again. So then, have all a nice evening and see you :)
