And you've already aged years...
At the first spray, unaware of the fragrance pyramid, I am immediately struck by the scent of cherries. The opening is undoubtedly characterized by an intense, tangy cherry note - somewhat dark, sweet and very intense. As in many of the popular cherry fragrances, I perceive cherry, especially black cherry, as syrupy. At that moment, I thought I had found a perfume made especially for those who love cherry scents. But then, after about 15 minutes, something changes. A familiar note joins in and I feel myself wrinkling my nose. The fragrance seems to age every second and then mutates into a "granny scent". I love rose as a fragrance, but as is so often the case with rose, it can easily drift into that old-fashioned direction, and that's exactly what happens here. It stays that way for about 2 hours.

Towards the end, the rose becomes a little less dominant and even reveals a hint of tuberose, which reminds me of N.R. For Her Musc Noir Rose. This is a nuance that I actually like. Unfortunately, this nuance is only the transition into the base. The fragrance that remains is vanilla-like, but not characterized by almond milk, but rather fruity. A little boring and synthetic like a flavoring in Bon Bons.

All in all, my experience with La Nuit Trésor Intense is like a bumpy ride. This perfume seems unsure of what audience it is trying to appeal to, and the different nuances are not harmonious with each other.

Fresh cherry La Nuit Trésor
This is one of those perfumes that mix several popular scent profiles into one. In this case, it's the dark, syrupy sweet La Nuit Trésor DNA blended with a slightly Delina-esque fruity rose and an on-trend cherry note. So, it's not the most original scent, but I got to admit it smells extremely good to me. I love all those accords on their own, so why wouldn't I love a good olfactory remix of them?
And it is nicely done. Juicy cherry and dewy, sweet rose floating on a sensual, deep vanilla base that keeps the scent from going sour. I definitely get some of the base notes from the original La Nuit Trésor, like caramel and patchouli, even though they're not listed. A big difference is that this doesn't have the smokey incense of the original. The newly added almond milk note is very subtle to my nose, I can't really separate it from the cherry.

The "Intense" naming isn't very fitting here. I don't find this weak, but it's lighter and fresher than the original LNT, just not what one would expect from an Intense version. On the plus side that also means that this flanker is a little more versatile and less of an night time/winter only scent.

Some find this similar to the discontinued La Nuit Trésor à la Folie, but I wouldn't recommend to get this as a replacement. The sour cherry and general bright fruity vibe make it quite different from the ultra-warm, ambery À la Folie. Sure, they're both from the same line, so they're not complete opposites, but I don't find them that close either. Each one is lovely in its own way. I wouldn't mind having both.

Beautiful fruity rose with added creaminess
This flanker of the line la nuit tresor by lancome is a definite drift from the original perfume. Here the dark cherry and the almond milk are the stars in the opening and introduce us to the Isparta rose. For more details please watch my Youtube review linked here below. Hope you will find it helpful!
