Attempt makes you blush
Ever since the British general store opened in the city, I've been drawn to this "Villa Kunterbunt".
There must be a monkey and a horse somewhere.
There are cosmetic labels from Canada and the USA, which I had never heard of before, but which appeal to me
Lipsticks of bold colours have to be picked from the rummage tables and claustrophobic conditions suppressed, because the number of customers is enormous.
It's just as colourful in the perfumery department, where I laugh at unknown scents.
There aren't any testers.
So it pulls me to a purple box, with the picture of a woman profile that I sort into the 60s.
The husband can't bite a purple, the last try.
Attempt makes you bossy - I answer calmly and carry my trophy to the cash desk.
Love Elixir - music to my romantic ears.
In the car I release the spirit from the bottle, and it hovers around me partly romantically, partly classically oldschool.
The peony, combined with the rose, appears enchantingly nostalgic, and this combination exudes poetry.
Frankincense whispers mystery, and sweetly powdery patch and soft woods join in.
So it may have been in the swinging sixties - as the portrait on the cartouche let me guess.
The local radio is playing: Those were the days my friend - by Mary Hopkins, which I find very fitting.
At home I discover surprised that this attractive love elixir was created only a few years ago.
For me it is a perfect retro fragrance - skillfully fallen out of time, directly into my hands.
