A vanilla gourmand, exquisite
I have read on several occasions, that all perfumes of Lattafa resemble each other, and are partly right, but it is not because the perfumes resemble each other, but because this house prints a characteristic stamp on all its vanilla-bearing perfumes, It's like Guerlain's guerlinade, but in this case, it's the way they work the vanilla. They use a vanilla accord so characteristic, that at a distance it is recognizable, and that few perfume houses can say it. It is a dense, creamy, liqueur and very spicy vanilla, a very unique and recognizable aroma. With this I do not mean that it is the best house, far from it, but that the perfume house is known for its imprint on it, is, at least, praiseworthy.
Al Fursan opens with a honey and vanilla oud, something dirty and very spicy, but without excess, the vanilla-honey combo balances everything very well, without turning it into something extremely sweet, showing us a vanilla wood, as spicy as it is exquisite. Little by little, to this beginning they are adding some notes of chocolate and amber, which make it warmer and creamier, turning it into a delight that begins in the nose and ends in the palate. A chocolaty wood, creamy, sweet and somewhat earthy, that does not sin of excesses, and stays very balanced, allowing us to see a kaleidoscopic image of all its nuances, despite its linearity. A great perfume, very little known.
The performance is good, although not as good as others from the same house, but it lasts more than 7 hours, with a moderate wake at all times.
The appropriate use for this perfume could be for cold and temperate climates, and indistinctly both day and night, not being extremely sweet and kept contained in wake, is a good asset also for daytime use. An oriental vanilla very content, which neither saturates nor tires, very appropriate also for work environments.
Unisex aroma, perfect for those people looking for a light gourmand or start with the oud. Perfume highly recommended.
Sorry for my bad english.
