Quiet summer in Madrid
Someone had shown me the entrance, the way given to me to this quiet street in the heart of the Spanish city. Shimmering in the sunlight, a bubbling brook of reddish rosewater bended down the broad boulevard, lined with gigantic buildings, stately historicism, playful art nouveau, the water washed cool gurgling through the brown bed of soft suede, clear and fresh, it brought to light euphemistically beautiful pictures of birch trees in old tannery lanes, the spicy warm desire of wild leather at the bottom.
A little way down the road vetiver grew in large blades of grass from the bed of the stream, flickering wet green and watery pink in a complementary cool mist over the leathery flight of the quiet road, scattering the Chicos de los Balcones flowers into the green grasses, neroli still in the mist, yellow glitter, illuminating the blades of grass, sharpening the edges of the roses.
Here a lion lay sleeping in the shadow of antique ornaments, imagining whispering of noble tendrils that creepingly adorned the fine facades, swallowing echoes, bending over the brook whose soft water disappeared a few hours further into the large grasses and the mists in the heat of the Madrid gorges vanished between the hands.
**
"Un Paseo por Madrid - El 8 de Gran Vía" is a fresh, spicy suede-based rose scent that gradually changes into a soft vetiver with neroline nuances, while remaining discreet and quiet for about five to seven hours.
