Chameleon .. A strange scent journey.
Opening is creepy to my nose and run away..Burning, spicy and reminds me of an old fashioned EDT for men. I can also hardly tell the notes apart, as if it were simply a false mixture of spicy burning notes that do not harmonize with each other at all. This rather unbearable opening fortunately disappears very quickly and the fragrance slowly becomes softer and more pleasant....
In drydown narcissus plays the first time clearly the main role and leaves little or little room for the other floral notes. Tuberose I smell unfortunately not at all. Ylang Ylang I can also only super faintly guess. Too bad ... Unfortunately, labdanum becomes more and more pronounced and quickly gives the fragrance a very spicy masculine character that lasts a while. This spicy and sharp narcissus / labdanum phase I would have to pass first, before I could even begin to make friends with this fragrance. In the course of the drydown, the fragrance but becomes softer and more pleasant... A very ripe velvety red rose is to smell in the background, which is really great made. This rose, if you focus very clearly only around the rose, goes in the same direction as the rose in Love don,t be shy extreme. The two fragrances have but zero to do with each other the first time in advance but the mature rose is made the same...Somehow I have a problem with Alamut this spicy rose. That does not fit for me somehow. Nevertheless, this mature rose saves the fragrance a bit for me..
In the base you can clearly smell a very very pleasant sandalwood note, which smells really great..The scent remains spicy until the end but becomes more and more rosy / soft and is supported by the super beautiful sandalwood very great...I see in front of me a small light wooden box, the inside of a very mature velvety dark red rose stored...This mixture of light wood and a very mature rose, describes the fragrance in drydown best....
In short, the fragrance in drydown is absolutely not bad but nothing for me at all. A spicy fragrance that is not feminine and floral enough for me as a woman, although the notes promise something different.... The fragrance has a great scent progression and changes through the individual scent phases extremely.... From burning and almost unbearable to soft/rosy/woody....
