Ocean Rose
Finistère. The far west end of France. A place where the ocean breeze meets the rugged nature, where land and sea become one. The whole Lostmarc'h perfume range is inspired by this mythical place. Iroaz is no exception. It depicts a rose, picked near the shore, iodized by a sea breeze.

So, a floral aquatic it is. The rose takes on a light-pale form with a little fruity sweetness, but I suppose it still counts as a rose. It opens with a little verbena freshness and continues with a clean musk-ambrox blend - generic, but effective in envoking an ocean breeze. Quality-wise this is far from impressive, but as a casual summer freshie it does an okay job.

At the beach ...
A slight wind is blowing ... the sky is pink at early dawn ... my feet are leaving traces in the wet sand. I am returning home to the little cottage with white roses tumbling over the fence. The grass is dry, the shrubs are struggling to make their way in the yellow dunes.

This is an ultra-clean scent - appropriate anywhere - a very fine cologne, suitable for both men and women.

If there were just a touch of ylang-ylang in it, I would like it more, as it would be more pronounced. The way it is designed, I am collecting it for the sake of interest and as a reference point, but don't really plan to wear it.
