Spices, herbs... and all sorts of other good things...
I had never smelled, read or heard of this brand before. A visit to TK MAXX and the price prompted me to buy this fragrance "on the side". Since curiosity is sometimes greater than reason for me too (my COLLECTION!!!), this had to be done.
The perfume is of high quality. Everything is very long-lasting and versatile, hardly any "synthetics".
At the beginning, there is a spice and herb melange carried by lavender, which has a slightly oriental-exotic feel. Sometimes the coriander peeks out cheekily, sometimes the cardamom, the slightly bitter mugwort remains as a gentle shadow, sometimes above, sometimes below.
A rather "grainy-sandy" cinnamon then "sneaks in" among the herbs, becoming more and more present, together with neroli. It even dominates for a while. At this stage, the fragrance is reminiscent of other "winter fragrances", such as "D & G" or "Joop", but not quite as sweet.
After three or four hours, the base opens up further "oriental" windows with tart (vetiver, sandalwood) and opulent woody notes, which linger for a few more hours before slowly fading away.
A mixture of sweet, bittersweet, spicy, tart, woody... like a slow ride through different landscapes. Consistently interesting with little surprises :-))
