Absinthe Boreale
It smells like seeing lavender and eucalyptus through a foggy, glass bubble. All of the edges and bracing herbal freshness is dulled down and rounded out. There's zero camphorous-ness from the eucalyptus and artemesia. It's softened and honestly, no one's said it, but a little bit salty. It recalls Rosa SaltiFolia from the same brand.

For some, I think this might be a pleasant take since lavender has that generic, aromatherapy quality and eucalyptus can be straight up Vicks VapoRub. But for me, it's kinda forgettable. I enjoy a soft scent, but the weak sillage paired with the middling scent just leaves zero impressions. It's not bad, it's just bland.

Short-lived Hautnah Krautling
In the opening AB is really fun. Fresh, herbaceous notes, almost somewhat aquatic. Not classically absinthstechend, but something softer, rounder and pleasantly fresh. A pick-me-up and wake-up, which shows the first lavender notes in the drydown. The scent progression itself is subtle, but well done. From tangy freshness to soft herbaceousness that always has a slight hint of lemon with it. From hour three onwards, it becomes relatively generic. I wouldn't be able to smell absinthe out of it. And therein lies the crux. The sillage is very low, the scent is really almost only noticeable to the wearer:inside. On clothing, it holds up a little better, but also loses its own character quickly. After about four hours, it is barely perceptible. What I then still smell, however, is nice herbaceous and slightly tart, very pleasant. However, I am a little disappointed with the performance. Even for a citrus/aquatic freshy, it lasts extremely short and then is quite pricey for that. I love some Crivelli scents, but this one is just too short-lived.

A surprisingly complex fresh fragrance. Very spicy yet cold at the same time. No absinthe, though.
