Oh my OUD! I'm an OUDist!
I'll say it in advance, this is my new favorite scent! At first only for the winter, because I'm not sure if it will be too brute in summer...

But first things first... where do I start?
Best with my initial question. I was looking for a fragrance in which oud plays the leading role. Not interrupted by roses, as one has so often, and rightly so, or other scents. So pure oud.

So here on the forums looking for an oud-banger... quickly I landed at MFK and since I already had very good experiences with some of his scents, I was sure that not only dull oud is used here, but also good scents are produced altogether!
A blessing were the comments and statements of the other users, because I soon realized that Oud Extrait and Oud Cashmere Mood Extrait are the horses in the stable I should bet on.

I quickly got a travel bottle of Oud Extrait and sprayed it on. In the beginning I had strong BR540 vibes, which is probably due to the saffron... all in all a great scent, which should satisfy the masses with its sweetness, but which can also catch the most masculine men with its not insignificant oud!

But that's not what I was looking for... ...I wanted the full oud club!
So the oud had to be cashmere!
Unfortunately, there are hardly any offers here and elsewhere on the net you won't get it at a discount...
But thanks to a super nice perfume, I was able to get hold of a broken bottle for the Schnapper price!
And that was a 200€-blindbuy, which I had actually renounced, but in retrospect I would do everything exactly the same again!
When I finally held the bottle in my hands, I didn't dare to spray it, because it was already after 6 pm and I already guessed that it could take up our whole bedroom, which my better half surely wouldn't have liked very much :D

So I fell asleep in anticipation of the next morning When I sprayed it the next morning I was immediately blown away! Oud immediately from the first sprayer! I was in heaven! Yes, in the first hour the oud is sometimes a little bit medical for a few seconds, but that doesn't bother me, because that's exactly how I wanted it to be!
Later the resins and vanilla are added. However, they only accentuate the fragrance! The oud plays the first violin at all times!
To the durability I can only say that I can still hear him after a full 12 hours outside and not only on the skin!
I can't say anything about the silage, due to lack of feedback, but I assume that it's worth seeing :)

I am super happy with my sweetheart and have finally found my new signature scent (at least in the cold half of the year)!

So for everyone who made it this far, thanks for reading :)

"You smell like a tree trunk!"
Soo, today I'm commenting on Oud Cashmere Mood by Kurkdjian. Hmm... weird... it's always like I've tested that scent before. But there is neither a statement nor a comment from me here, which also means that I'm not omnipresent here after all,... only often to be found :D

Nah, I probably confused the fragrance with Oud Satin Mood, which I had also commented on (well well, then I'm omnipresent over here *sigh* :D). Which, by the way, is a nice fragrance, which I would probably rate higher than 7.5 points today, since my earlier saying about fragrances with oud (which was "oud not good!") no longer really applies, since tastes seem to actually change or evolve. To put it plainly: I like oud scents much better today than I did two or three years ago! (And no, I will NEVER like coriander scents!!).

Now comes Oud Cashmere Mood, which sounds a tick softer than the satin. Ahh... cashmere sounds so nice and soft! Although I also like satin pretty much, even if you should slip off the bed all the time, if you have satin bed linen AND should wear satin pyjamas anyway, I don't think... that I would speak from experience :DD

Now for the fragrance :)

The fragrance:
Yikes?! I smell paint and varnish at the beginning? No, that's just the alcoholic beginning, which only lasts a blink of an eye. The mix of (strangely enough rather light, almost tender) oud with benzoin resin is quickly recognizable, making the scent soft and woody resinous. A small sweetness is also present, but I cannot determine its origin exactly. Since I still have difficulties with certain fragrances, I suppose this is probably from Labdanum, as I can't smell the vanilla yet.
The "color" I smelled at the beginning is completely gone only a little later. Now it smells clearly of woods and resins, whereby the Oud did not turn out soo strongly altogether, however, one can smell it of course nevertheless clearly. By the way, it is noticeable that the woody notes become stronger and stronger from minute to minute, which means that the scent is quite woody.
Otherwise, the fragrance remains woody in the base, but also resinous, which makes the fragrance appear rather soft. Oud now appears much stronger, but the vanilla in the base is not as strong as you might expect. Much later, however, the woody notes are most in the foreground, so that the scent is also quite spicy and a little "sharp" or bitter smells. For me this phase is a bit too woody, so that I like the later base a bit less well.

The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is strong, so that the scent will be very good for a while at one or at one smellable. As a result, as is almost usual, the shelf life is also very good with over twelve hours.

The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular or square and has bevelled sides at the top that lead to the bottle neck. On the front, there is a large square golden label, and on the back of the bottle, the logo of the brand has been applied. The lid is also gold-plated and large. All in all a high quality, solid looking and beautiful bottle, which convinces above all by its clear lines.

Hm, for oud lovers the fragrance is also a beautiful fragrance like the Satin Mood, but I find the oud here a little strangely fragrant. As I said, the beginning reminded me a little of color (but as I said, don't worry, it only lasts a few minutes), and only then did it become more woody and resinous. Generally high quality and worth testing like most of Kurkdjian's fragrances, but I found Oud Satin Mood much nicer (but I still have to test it again sometime!). Even if satin should be slippery :D

Otherwise Cashmere Mood is a fragrance for autumn and winter, which you could also use very well for going out, because it also comes across quite elegant, especially from or in the heart note. In the base, however, one could be mistaken for a tree trunk :D
That's what they told me, that's how I'd smell! :DD
Clearly unisex in type. A test is therefore worthwhile, especially if you like resinous fragrances that also have intensive wood notes and are also rather less sweet.

And as far as I'm concerned, I haven't said "Oud not good" for a long time, but still I find too strong an oud to sting and run away, as it is the case with Dior Homme EDP for example :D
(And if anyone should be interested, Dior Homme Intense is the best Dior Homme for me, right after that the normal EDT, which is also wearable on days that are not too warm!

An Oud-Oud
It's Oud. A few days ago I commented the oud of MFK with the words "the choice of name is quite appropriate, it is the purest oud scent in my collection so far".

A few days later I received a bottling of Oud Cashmere Mood. And I have to throw that right back on top of the pile. Because: This scent is now the purest oud in my "collection", if you can call a 10ml-bottling part of the collection.

It starts as laotian oud, it ends as laotian oud. It is not possible to describe a scent course with big words here, because there is no scent course. It starts with angular oud. The indication of the fragrance twin XerJoff OudStars Gao is in so far quite appropriate. It is not a 1:1 twin, but it goes very much in the same direction. Today I will compare both fragrances on my left and right arm. It will become a little softer, gentler, more balsamic after a few hours - when the sillage wears off. But still the oud remains in the foreground and vanilla and benzoin are not really noticeable. So whether you like the scent or not depends mainly on whether you like pure oud or just the creations based on it. I like oud and so I like the fragrance. It could be said to be simple-minded or uncreative. But actually, it's exactly what it's supposed to be. Just oud for oud lovers. So the headline "not everybodys darling" in a previous commentary is quite accurate.

Sillage is very strong at the beginning. I'd say it could last about two to four hours. The skin-tight scent lasts forever. Until the next morning.

Conclusion: oud fragrance only for true oud lovers. A true oud lover can wear the fragrance at any time of the year, even if it may seem inappropriate at 40 degrees.

Cheers

The late bloomer and the planned lie
Although I usually don't find German movies so entertaining, I really like the movie and Jan Josef Liefers I like very much since then
I have had MFK Oud for about 2 years as a sample. I've probably tested this one at least four times. So far he was at the bottom of the MFK food chain.

When I prepared a package yesterday, I was thinking about what to include as a sample.
I attacked MFK OCM, looked at it and thought to myself "NO, you don't do that to the person".
Before I put it away again I sprayed it on my arm again........

On the way to the post office, an elderly lady sat next to me, I think retirement age +5 years.
I find it fascinating that especially the not so young women are the least afraid of compliments for fragrances.

The lady was pulling her nose so much that I thought she might have breathing problems. She was really looking for OCM. In the meantime, I've prepared what I could say to her.
She smelled a half arm length away from me my arm up and down LOL.
That was so unpleasant for me, that she had liked it so much.
I was glad that she didn't ask me and just in case, I wanted to say that I don't know what the fragrance is called, so there won't be any verbal compliments, so I didn't want to prolong everything with the lie.

The scent smells pungent, icy and a bit animalistic to start with.
Exactly that was the reason why I didn't think of OCM.
A smell may disturb me at no time.
But because I wore a polo shirt and no sweater the smell came back into my nose.
He had developed into a round WARM Oud, full of verve, but not obtrusive.
This warmth reminded me of SLH Black Gemstone, of course BG smells different, but you already know this lava flow, WOOOW.
Unfortunately MFK can't do that.

However 9.0 points, although the prelude is not mine.
Durability is very good and it should also be for over 200 tacks.
Sillage is also pretty good.

I still won't buy it.

Francis Kurdjian, this is one of your weakest performances, but still good.

Thank you and you

Burnt piece of old wood in a nordic forest. Smoke 100% no else
This is such an almost realistic smell of A piece of wood that has been burnt and now its there all black reduced in a block of carbon with some part still red as rest of the fire and if you touch it then some smoke and dist will come out form it. Its soooo creative but I still haven't tested it in public. I am very curious to see the reactions. I sprayed on my skin and is very very harsh but a good quality soft harshness, it smells exactly like wood hash and as it get to your nose you also get the strong heat of this hash like it was burnt just recently and it sticks to your nose making you sneeze of feel bad. Not an easy fragrance to wear. Again..Im looking forward to wear it and see. If it workes then will definetly be a very sophisticated kurkdjan fragrance as much as satin oud. Great collection ! Not as quality of ingredients or as art but as composition. In my opinion

A warm and musky, yet gently leathery, oriental resinous-woody Winter fragrance, with a medicinal, herbal-spicy opening. More masculine.
