Interesting Facts
Behind Maison Francis Kurkdjian is the French perfumer of the same name, Francis Kurkdjian. Francis has Armenian roots and was born in Paris in 1969. Francis Kurkdjian developed several successful fragrances for many major houses, such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior and Christian Lacroix. In 2009, he founded the brand Maison Francis Kurkdjian together with Marc Chaya. Nevertheless, he continues to develop interesting perfumes for selected designers, such as Ellie Saab. He owes his education to ISIPCA (Institut supérieur international du parfum, de la cosmétique et de l'aromatique alimentaire), where he successfully completed his training in 1993.

Interestingly, Francis Kurkdjian is best known for custom fragrances. These are in the five-figure range. However, for the masses of customers, Maison Francis Kurkdjian also has a nice selection of perfumed luxury items and fragrances. All of the goods offered are designed and manufactured in France. Maison Francis Kurkdjian sees the perfumes as works of art created from their own experiences and memories. Much emphasis is placed on the best French perfume quality.

Before Maison Francis Kurkdjian founded his own brand, he often proved his fine nose. Top fragrances such as "Le Mâle" by Jean Paul Gaultier or Narciso Rodriguez' For Her come from his hand, as do "Lily Chic" by Escada or "Green Tea" by Elizabeth Arden. Anyone who enjoys these creations should be open to the fragrances of Maison Francis Kurkdjian. In addition to many individual fragrances, there is now also the Oud Mood Collection, which currently includes four unisex fragrances. "Oud Satin Mood" is the latest addition to this collection. In general, Maison Francis Kurkdjian offers many unisex fragrances. The flacons always appear very valuable and simple. Maison Francis Kurkdjian attaches little importance to opulent design, but prefers to let the fragrances speak for themselves. Since 2009, the brand has launched 29 fragrances on the market.

The fact that an employed perfumer has little influence on the design of the product was certainly a reason for Francis Kurkdjian to found his own brand. He emphasized in interviews how important the creation process itself is to him. For the French perfumer, luxury lies in the details, and he wants to help influence these details.
