Mutiny under the sofa

Because of the permanent cough I was looking for my warm house slippers, which looked out from under the sofa.

Happy about the quick find, I fished them out - and with them a pretty white box - which amazed me.

What the hell was that? And how did it get to this dreamy place?
Mysterious.

When I open the elaborate cardboard box, full-bodied tuberose rises into my nose.
The photo of a fancy woman with wild dread locks blinks at me conspiratorially.

Including :
Mutiny
Flowery creamy chords of tuberose
deconstructed on gently warm leather notes.
The scent of a feminine mutiny is in the air.

Interesting.

I take the first spray, and I can sign the flowery creamy tuberose.
It hovers around me beguilingly - cushioned by slightly resinous oud.
Saffron is a noble addition - presented on cuddly soft suede.
The sweet vanilla also nestles gently and provides warmth.

A valuable, full fragrance - which I encounter confidentially.
But I don't think of "feminine mutiny" at all - rather of feminine sensuality with a portion of self-evident eroticism.

The wearer is not a wallflower - not a rebel either - but goes her own way unagitatedly.

I like this attitude.

A likeable fragrance - almost tender - which I don't discover any mutiny about - but I don't miss either.

Let's see what treasures I have left under the "Hempels" sofa.

Mutiny? On the contrary

Mutiny was my first encounter with niche fragrances a few months ago and I think I really wanted him. I tried it far too briefly on a sample, liked the brand, the concept, the idea behind it (mutiny, rebellion...) and the bottle - brain off, credit card swipe.
For two or three days I kept telling myself that this would work out. And then I faced the truth For me, apart from the bottle, there is nothing "against the current" about mutiny, nothing rebellious, new or different.
For me a 0815 sweet, sticky, very "adherent" scent and so or something like that already often smelled, which I could not even clearly decompose into its components. Vanilla definitely and the rest associative like sticky cake dough, viscous, sugary, I think of too much jewellery, golf ladies with alcohol problems and cheating, well-earning husbands in sportive elegant countrystyle (the ladies, and maybe their husbands :), catfight at cocktail parties, always a few ups and downs in the clutch. I don't think there are any clichés at all - as the fragrance actually conveys. Nothing here is subversive, brushed against the grain or innovative for me. Instead, the fragrance desparate housewife jeannyinabottlelike has been squeezed into a bottle. It does not stink. But I don't want to either.

Underbuttered

Once my grandmother showed me what she understood by sweets in her childhood.
Heat butter in a saucepan until it turns slightly brown,
then add the sugar and mix until it liquefies.

Basically, it's just cute. Buttrig creamy and pure sugar.

If you think tuberose in Mutiny is flowery, I can't agree with you.
A scent for cold days in dark wooden huts with candles, fur in front of the fireplace and something freshly baked.
Liquid gold, shining threads and the very great opulence when one is turned towards it. Long sequined robes and clinking champagne flutes. Cheers!

By the way, ordinary butter caramel remains in the pot.
Who tries immediately, will burn his tongue badly. Maybe even Mutiny?
I can't quite assign his name to the fragrance. The big exception to the rule remains guilty.

Surprising for my tastes

I had heard good things about Mutiny. Although I was initially hesitant because of the leather notes, I finally caved and purchased them.
Usually leather isn’t at all my favorite. The more there is the more repelled I am. I think there’s no great area when it comes to that scent.
Anyway, Mutiny is surprisingly good. There’s a warmth to it, very sexy and sophisticated. I can totally see me wearing it on date nights.
Tuberose is there, but it isn’t screaming like it usually does. It’s napping. Vanilla and orange blossom are perky, softened only by oud and saffron.
Longevity 8 hours. Sillage a good arm’s
length. I’d say it’s mostly feminine, but can also see it working on some men.
Worth a try!
