Come hell or high water
Incense is such a polarizing substance that you either love or hate. The latter probably often by those who associate it with negative clerical memories or simply for other, less comprehensible reasons. If you belong to this group, there is no need to read on, because this is certainly not your fragrance.
For all others who are open or at least somewhat sceptical about the topic, Rocher Princier is a little insider tip
This is not just a simple incense scent, but an appealing eau de parfum that uses mint and the supporting aldehydes to explore creative paths. In between, a timid apple note romps around, which does not seem unwelcome. Thus a fresh, almost life-affirming start with absolute bright nuances is guaranteed. At the same time, the strong frankincense note is reminiscent of the intensity of the excellent Series 3: Incense series by Comme de Garçons. I personally like it more than very much!
Although other ingredients can hardly assert themselves due to the dominance of gum resin, here and there a mixture of woody to spicy notes such as cardamom, pepper plus nutmeg and later sandalwood and oakmoss flashes up. Oud-haters will be pleased: it is almost imperceptible. It's just a pity that the elements from the top note are through after some time and won't last forever - but still! Overall, Rocher Princier, which translates as "royal rock", appears very clean, cool, ethereal and very vital. Almost as if one not only wanted to exorcise the said Beelzebub, but also to smoke it spick and span and then decompose it.
Yes, frankincense has been considered a disinfectant since time immemorial, but it is far more pleasant to sniff than anything else that is usually associated with it.
The only thing that sets me back a little is the relatively high price. You have to weigh up Rocher Princier with the series 3 of Comme de Garçons for yourself.
