Challenge in Advent - On the way to "my" vanilla scent - 10.12.2019
Today I'm testing a children's perfume. One gets it in well-assorted bulk packs in the Internet, it costs approx. 3.00 € and is so multicolored and pretty that it must please children, I think. I am curious, spray generously on different places and... ouch! This isn't such a disaster! Smells interesting! Very citric at first, I'd guess tangerine. A not bad vanilla tone is immediately added to this from the beginning. Artificial, but yes, of course - but by no means worse than in any branded yoghurt. It smells pretty much like all that cheesecake yogurt. Or like the Flav Drops, you know them? Lemoncake kind. Because after a few minutes a breath, but really only a breath of biscuit or cake dough is added. Delicious, I must admit. I therefore see a certain danger in really leaving such a perfume to children. You might get the idea to lick it off your hand. Is the scent food safe? ;-) I am pretty sure that they are food flavors, which makes even the tiny price possible. By the way, the shelf life is not bad at all; it smells very intense for about three hours. Only the Sillage is very weak, that's a pity.
Finally, the question arises: Do I want to smell like this? The answer is simple: Generally, I don't have to smell like that. But since I found the sweet bottle of a very dear Parfuma as a small addition in the package, it is now here. And will therefore also be used once in a while. Only I'll take it out of the winter collection, it can move in with my spring scents. Basically, it is a very, very small Dulcis-in-fundo baby that hopes to become a large, noble bottle some day. The disappointment that it can never become that, because it does not come from natural fragrance parents, I prefer to spare it and suddenly... it will surely be used up soon as body spray.
