Traumatism

(Shoe polish that really smells like this specific smell), plus rhubarb jam and + the smell of cheap leather. No elegance, no balance, just a strong smell!
It smells like the super degreaser for the oven, really . (This foam, you know?).
So, I'm all for modernity, but soon you will smell the paint , or treatment against moss or what I know of a household product!
I do not want such modernity and waste of primary materials. It makes no sense to fill beautiful bottles and advertise it on the Internet.
I really wonder how we will smell tomorrow?
Who are all these masterpieces for?
Tomorrow I will be surprised by a novelty: Fuel oil+whipped cream,
Creme brûlée+insecticide. Marshmallow+acrylic, turpentine+vanilla.
Seriously .
And we are supposed to rave about it?
More and more perfumes are moving away from their actual function. To be used in everyday life.
I will no longer be able to call this product a perfume. NOT

The scent of the sun.

Enceladus is a satellite of Saturn, known for having an activity that is still difficult to explain today. It has geysers on the surface and recent observations have confirmed the presence of an ocean of liquid water under the surface. It is covered with a layer of bluish-white tones, characteristic of the snow that is estimated to be 100 meters thick, indicating that it has snowed for at least 100 million years.
Encelad is also the name of a giant in Greek mythology, defeated by Athena, during the war of the gods against the giants, and buried under the island of Sicily.

Encelade appears after Ganymede - a “star” of the great magnitude. So life is difficult and Encelade suffers the shadow projected by the Ganymede. My initial reaction to a sample was denial. I said to myself: if I already have Ganymede, which is a masterpiece, why buy Encelade? But when I made na Encelade full wear I was surprised and surrendered.
First I realized that we cannot compare both as they are really two different “worlds”. Ganymede is freshest, floral, and smoothest like a bright morning. Encelade is more earthy, opulent and sensual – best suited for late-day and night romantic encounters. They complement each other and do not compete with each other. Both take place and are part of the balance of our planetary system.
I also had a pleasant sensation because my olfactory memory detected a Vetiver with a vibe similar to another fragrance with Vetiver that brought back beautiful memories of my youth. I think it would be the original Carven's Vetiver because I don't think it resembles Guerlain's Vetiver as it had a tobacco note (which no longer exists in the current version). This touch probably has to do with the combination of Vetiver with Rhubarb and Cedar.
Some people compare it to the Declaration (Cartier), others find similarities with Journey Man (Amouage), others with Terra Essence, or TF F Fabulous or even Rasasi Shuhrah. So many hypotheses cancel each other out. A sign that it will only look like itself.

It opens with a slight acidity of a green apple on a velvety and vanillic background. The sandalwood side by side with the cedar project a solar atmosphere – almost musical – that makes people's heads turn (“compliments rained”).
A dense composition with above-average projection and longevity.
A must-have, lending us to the leather and wood aura of the great perfumes of the past and, at the same time, a fruity and sweet modernity.
It transmits to us a green and generous joy. A green leather, a green from woods.
A moss leather, a fruit leather, rhubarb, a bitter and sweet juice that awakens the senses. A golden leather that must smell like the sun. A sun that is the antithesis of the snow on the planet Encelade. A sun that shines at night and smells like kisses on skin.

Love at first sight

I'm a big fan of Ganymede and had also tried B683 and decided to take that fragrance with me on a rainy day at work. Encalade is relatively new and I hadn't tried it yet, but I had it sprayed on the back of my hand. Immediately, fresh rhubarb hit me in the face. A wonderful acidity and tart fruit without sweetness. After a few minutes, leather joins in the background and then woody notes. This gives the fragrance the necessary complexity, as the rhubarb is so dominant that it needs a counterbalance. Personally, I think the balance here could be more in the leather/woody direction, but it is a very successful composition in itself. I had to smell my hand all day at work and didn't even need to lift it. The scent projected surprisingly well without being annoying and was still recognizable the next morning. Colleagues also noticed the scent at a distance, so I don't recommend applying it too thickly. I had already bought the B683 but went back to the perfumery after work and had it exchanged for Encelade as I really liked it much better. I can actually imagine Encelade in all seasons, but now in fall it gives me a certain tart freshness that still feels warm, perfect!

The wonders of life

Let me start by saying that I don’t believe in signature scents, not my thing.

But had I choose one perfume to keep for the rest of my life, this would be it.

In my life I’ve always been fascinated with expressions that made me wonder whether it’d be music, art, humans and perfumes are no exception.

Sure, I like safe kinda stuff every now and then but true art is associated with uniqueness.

And that is what Encelade represents to me, something very unique, beautiful which surprises me every time I wear it.

It starts off very green, sharp and quickly goes into a more creamy territory. It reflects both darkness and light, brings new impressions to the table every time I wear it.

It’s super potent, 2-3 sprays are more than enough to keep you going.

The compliments that this has been getting me is also a surprise, probably my most complimented perfume in my entire collection.

Encelade is a polarising perfume, no doubt about it. Reviews show it. It’s a perfume that plays with shadow and light, to me it’s a reflection of the earth, life and that can only be captivated by a masterperfumer like Bisch.

A Cryptic green

Ok this is going to be a bit of a free form flow of consciousness, I'm just going to let the word fall out of my mind through my fingers into this review and will try to do it without editing too much .

I like this fragrance a lot but at the same time time cannot make up my mind if I like it as much as I think I do. Yes this sounds weird and wrong but to me it makes sense. I would be happy to wear this all week and wear it again without having to think too much why or what I am doing this to myself. The fragrance makes me think of the kind of plastic chairs that schools would have, but left in the hot sun surrounded by some odd objects that would leave an impression on the plastic of the chair . You know in Midsommar when the protagonist is sat in the chair surrounded by flowers laughing and crying at the same time. I weirdly felt like that with this . Not crying but possibly confused. Just screaming for clarity and validity.

Do I like this as much as I think I like this?!

I'm not sure, I wore this the other day and I was like "aw this is ok", the next day smelt it on the hoodie I was wearing and I was like "oh wow I do love this". Its such a weird green and I don't like greens unless they are in jumpers, blazers or car paint....in fragrances I cannot stand with them but I do like this green
