With Spiritual I present another fragrance from Micallef from the series Secrets of Love.
*sigh* And again it is somehow about love... my absolute weakness, because I somehow seemingly know or understand nothing about it, at least not much... *sigh again* :D
And you want me to say something about that? So really, if it is also supposed to be about the "secrets of love", then you are really with me at the wrong person. Hm... should I sigh a third time? Hmmm.... :D But at least I can tell you something about the scent. Maybe you shouldn't necessarily trust me in love matters, because I probably couldn't give you such good or wise advice here..., but you can trust my nose a little, because I don't tell you any crap, honestly, after all I try to describe a scent as exactly as possible here. There is only one thing that can put a small line through my calculations, and that is that scent perceptions can vary from one person to another.
So don't yell at me if the scent smells different for you than I perceive it myself :D
Anyway, according to the description, these scents are supposed to treat the (six) facets of love and seduction (aaargh... :D), and Spiritual leads one into the realm of beautiful souls. It's about renewal, love fusion and the spiritual passion between two beings. It's about love and... oh what do I know,... as I said love is a topic, which is my weak point, quite apart from the fact, that the whole thing could also gradually sound love-kitschig-nervig, if I list things like soul kinship, a heart and a soul, and some other stuff here ... :D So I'd rather go quickly to the fragrance :DD
The fragrance:
At the beginning I smell sweet jasmine and spicy pepper. That may sound strange, but it smells pretty good. Because the jasmine is sweet, very sweet even. The pepper, however, ensures that the fragrance does not smell too sweet or too sticky sweet, so that the two fragrances complement each other well. In the background I perceive floral notes, they smell like white blossoms, and somehow I also perceive a tart rose note from time to time.
A few moments later the oud appears, but it is still quite weak, so that jasmine and pepper are still in the foreground.
A little later, the vanilla gradually appears. This makes the fragrance appear gentler, slightly powdery-creamier and warmer. Slowly you can smell the cedar too. This naturally gives the fragrance a woody note and forms the basis of the base.
Nevertheless, the fragrance still smells the sweetest later, especially when the pepper gradually fades away. But that doesn't matter, because I find the scent nice and fragrant. Above all, as so often I think it's great that the fragrance also smells nice and soft, so there are also resins in it, probably benzoin, and together with vanilla everything smells even softer and more powdery, but not in such a way that you would suffocate in it, but really just very beautiful! At the very end you can smell the cedar much better, it even becomes the main scent in the very late hours.
My point of criticism, however, would be that the fragrance is very similar to many well-made, sweet scents with jasmine. Very good, but absolutely nothing new.
By the way: I didn't even notice oakmoss!
The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is good, because one is surrounded by a nice fragrance cloud that is neither small nor very big. In any case, you can smell it well for a while. The durability is also very good and can easily withstand fourteen, sixteen hours and more!
The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular at the bottom and forms a semicircle towards the top. He is dressed in a silver-metal "dress", which shows beautiful and filigree patterns in front and behind. On the side you can see the brand name. The neck is round, as is the golden lid. A very nice bottle!
Spiritual has become a very beautiful fragrance for me. The resins, especially those that reminded me a little bit of incense, could have been a little stronger, especially with a fragrance called Spiritual, but good, doesn't matter, because it smells very nice as I said. Due to the strong jasmine the fragrance is naturally quite sweet and due to the vanilla and benzoin very soft. For me, he is no longer unisex, despite a distinctive (but much later on beginning) cedar note, but much more feminine smelling. I would even say that Spiritual is actually a pure women's fragrance. Didn't I? What would ladies say when a guy smells like sweet jasmine? :DD
Be that as it may, with such a fragrance you could go out great, it is really a perfect companion for the evening. One of those scents, where especially the ladies can't do anything wrong, concerning the choice of the scent for the evening (or even during the day), at least in autumn and winter.
Aaaber: I'm sure you ladies have a fragrance in your possession that is quite similar to this one. This is my only point of criticism, as mentioned before, because otherwise everything is right, whether it's sillage, durability, flacon or the individual scents. One can adjust oneself here to a very great, but evenly nothing unusually differently smelling smell. But sometimes those scents can just be great, right?
Yep, just go test it out in case it sells anywhere near you. If I remember correctly, I've never seen such a fragrance (especially with such a bottle) anywhere before, or I haven't noticed it yet. Maybe I'll find him in the women's department now that I've got no problems with these shelves... I'm so good, aren't I? :D
