My Signature Scent
I discovered this beautiful discontinued gem by mistake.
Initially, my eyes were hunting for Osswald for Men, which is another discontinued unicorn. As I checked numerous sites from all over the world, I stumbled upon The N°1. Talk about right place at the right time.
The seller posted the fragrance twenty minutes on a particular platform before I came across it. With me never ever seeing this before in my life, I inquired on why he was looking to move on. He said, this was his backup bottle and he was letting it go.
I instantly blind bought it because the notes really caught my attention. I adore the combination of plum/raspberry and oud. I figured, what can go wrong?!
Well, everything went right! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for to represent me. It’s fresh enough to wear on hot summer evenings but has density to survive cool nights. It’s semi-sweet without being annoying. There’s an airy and watery quality that makes it so light smelling but it’s very deceitful because it has great longevity and sillage. There’s a drop of oud in here for a little earthiness in the dry down, but the sandalwood is providing a creamy woody backbone. Overall, the plum, apple, saffron and watery notes are the stars.
This is a masterpiece and I’ve been wearing it on special occasions for about four years. I hope I can find another bottle because this is a lifer.
Aoud N°1 is very similar in scent profile with The N°1. However, the former does not have the strong sillage and projection of the latter. I own both and it’s not even comparable.
This is unisex down the middle. I can see women and men of all ages enjoying this.
It smells of great quality materials which is always awesome.
Batch code: 15849, created in 2015.
Hopefully you can try this and if so, I would love to know your thoughts.
